Bollywood Stars Blazed the Track at Dubai Autodrome for ‘DSBK Middle East Championship’

New Delhi, 4th February 2025: Dubai hosted an electrifying fusion of speed and stardom as the ‘DSBK Middle East Championship’ took center stage at the iconic Dubai Autodrome Racing Circuit on February 2nd, 2025. For the first time ever, some of Bollywood’s biggest celebrities swapped the red carpet for racing helmets, delivering an adrenaline-pumping showdown like never before.

Special guests of honour from UAE included Rizwan Sajan, Yaqoob Al Ali, Dr. Bu Abdullah, Sanjay Bector, and Yousuf Mohammed.

Bollywood favorites such as Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar among others, participated in this high-octane motorsport extravaganza to showcase their racing skills. The event quickly gained traction in the country, igniting interest for its unique blend of Bollywood glamour and the thrill of superbike racing.

الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي يبدأ برنامج وطني لتطوير كرة الطاولة لأصحاب الهمم انطلاقاً من الشارقة

أبو ظبي؛ الإمارات العربية المتحدة،3 فبراير 2025: يبدأ الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي، بالتعاون مع مركز اليابان للتعاون الدولي (JICE)، برنامجًا تدريبيًا مبتكرًا لتطوير رياضة كرة الطاولة بين لاعبيه انطلاقاً من مدينة الشارقة للخدمات الإنسانية. يشارك في البرنامج، الذي يستمر من 2 إلى 6 فبراير الجاري، 120 لاعبًا ولاعبة من ذوي التحديات الذهنية والنمائية و30 مدربًا، من مختلف أندية أصحاب الهمم في إمارات الدولة، بهدف تعزيز مهارات لاعبي كرة الطاولة من أصحاب الهمم في الإمارات، وفتح آفاق جديدة لهذه الرياضة في المجتمع.

Special Olympics UAE Launches National Table Tennis Development Program in Collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE)

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – February 03, 2025: Special Olympics UAE, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), launched an innovative training program to enhance the skills of athletes in table tennis. Kicking off at Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, the program brings together 120 athletes with intellectual and developmental challenges and 30 coaches from clubs across the UAE from February 2 to 6. The program aims to elevate the technical abilities of People of Determination in table tennis and open new pathways for the sport within the community.

  • Gulf Giants beat Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by seven wickets
  • “Opening the bowling with Mark, we had to get us off to a good start. Our bowling group prides itself on diversity. Left arm, right arm, tall and short, we have a bit of everything. We’re glad that we’ve at least given ourselves a fighting chance. We’ll be crossing our fingers for the next couple of days,” said Daniel Worrall, the Player of the match.

Sharjah Warriorz storm into playoffs as Kohler-Cadmore shines in eight-wicket win against MI Emirates

  • Tom Kohler-Cadmore smashed 91 runs in 52 balls to help Sharjah Warriorz chase 173 in 17.2 overs.
  • Player of the Match, Tom Kohler-Cadmore said: “We’ve been playing for three years, and we haven’t been to the finals, that was the goal going into this season. Tim Southee bowled well and set it up today. I just want to put the pressure back on them, sometimes they’ll get the better of me, but I tend to do well if I get a start, and I had some luck as well. Wade played some fine shots and eased us home. We’ve had a great group; the boys have been together even when we lost heavily.”

Abu Dhabi, February 02 2025: Sharjah Warriorz completed a sensational comeback in the tournament as they became the third team to seal a spot in the playoffs at the DP World ILT20 Season 3. Buoyed by a stellar knock from Tom Kohler-Cadmore, the Warriorz defeated the MI Emirates by eight wickets in a must-win match, here at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The result also knocks the Gulf Giants out of the race for a playoff berth, while the Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders are in contention for the fourth spot.
