إختبارات كامبردج الدولية في الإمارات العربية المتحدة تشهد نمواً يصل إلى 12%

 دبي، 13 أغسطس 2017

أعلنت هيئة كامبردج للمؤهلات الدولية عن ارتفاع طلبات التقدم للحصول على شهادة كامبيردج بمعدل 12% في العام 2017، حيث تمّ استلام أكثر من 54,000 اختبار لمؤهلات كامبريدج من 100 مدرسة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

وأعلنت هيئة كامبردج للمؤهلات الدولية عن نتائج دورة إختبارات يونيو لعام 2017 و مرة أخرى سجلت مؤهلات كامبردج إقبالاً كبيراً من الطلاب وأولياء الأمور في الإمارات وحول العالم.

Microsoft Story Labs – An animated guide to Artificial Intelligence

Recent innovations, such Artificial Intelligence (AI), amongst other technologies, are creating many opportunities within the MENA region, compelling established businesses to embrace digital innovation, redefine management structures and overhaul service delivery.

 

Artificial Intelligence, as we see it, is a collection of multiple technologies that enable machines to sense, comprehend and act—and learn, either on their own or to augment human activities. Accenture research on the impact of AI in 12 developed economies reveals that AI could double annual economic growth rates in 2035 by changing the nature of work and creating a new relationship between man and machine. The impact of AI technologies on businesses is projected to increase labor productivity by up to 40 percent and enable people to make more efficient use of their time. Moreover, revenue from the artificial intelligence for enterprise applications market in the Middle East and Africa, from 2016 to 2025 is expected to increase from 1.74 to 504.31 (U.S. million dollars).

  • 2017 pass rate recorded by GEMS students surpasses 2016 international pass rate

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Students from GEMS Education’s International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum schools in the UAE have scored outstanding results in the 2017 exams as they continue to raise the bar of academic excellence.

 

A total of 387 students from GEMS World Academy, Dubai, GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis, Dubai American Academy, GEMS Wellington International School, GEMS Modern Academy and GEMS American Academy, Abu Dhabi,achieved their IB Diploma, which marks a 20 per cent increase from 2016 in the number of students receiving their diplomas.

Performance continues to exceed international benchmarks.  The international pass rate in 2016, was 79 per cent, the pass rate achieved by GEMS Education’s IB students this year hit 91 per cent.

 

Many students fromGEMS schools exceeded an average score of 40 (out of a maximum of 45). The top three achievers – Alexandra Haines from Dubai American Academy, Audrey Cordelle from GEMS World Academy, Dubai and Ivan Szergyuk from GEMS Wellington International School, all secured an impressive 44.

 

Congratulating students on their achievement, James MacDonald, Vice President Education (US & IB Curriculum Schools), GEMS Education, said: “We are very proud of this year’s cohort of IBDP students and their results.  Thanks to rigour of the IB curriculum and our wonderful GEMS educators, our graduates are extremely well prepared for their next steps in life, which includes attending some of the world’s highest rated universities. We wish them all the best and congratulate them again.”
