Otaxi Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement with ITHCA Group and Yango Group To Elevate Taxi Services in Oman

Muscat, Oman – 31 October 2024: Otaxi, a leader in taxi services in Oman and part of ITHCA Group, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) in Oman, announced a strategic partnership with ITHCA Group and global technology leader Yango Group, renowned for its innovative daily services including ride-hailing, cloud technologies, foodtech and Yasmina (AI voice assistance) amongst others.

The goal of this partnership between Otaxi and Yango Group is to enhance mobility services, particularly taxi services, contributing to the modernization of the digital infrastructure in Oman and providing sustainable services to support the digital transformation of taxi and mobility services. As part of this partnership, ITHCA Group and Yango will make significant investments to develop the Otaxi business model, creating new growth opportunities for the local taxi industry and the mobility sector in the region.

Yango’s services latest addition integrates public transit information, providing a seamless navigation experience for Dubai travellers

Dubai, UAE, 10 July 2024: Yango Group, a global tech company that creates daily services, launched a new public transport service feature within its Yango app, aimed at redefining urban mobility in Dubai. This addition provides users with comprehensive transport options by integrating public transit information with Yango’s existing services, including ride-hailing, rentals, and delivery in the city.

The new public transport section on Yango delivers route information, schedules, and estimated travel times for buses, metro, and other transport options. This integration allows users to effortlessly plan their journeys within a single, user-friendly platform. To access this service, users simply enter their destination on the app. From there, clear guidance is provided throughout the journey, including details on transfers, specific exit directions to reach the metro, information on walking distances and the number of stops a bus or train will make. This integrated approach simplifies planning and navigating public transport, whether for daily commutes or exploring new areas.
