The appointment reinforces the company’s confidence in the Gulf’s evolving healthcare ecosystem and the UAE’s growing role as a strategic centre for medical research, innovation, and partnership-led growth.

In this role, Mr. Kalyan will oversee Novo Nordisk’s operations across the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen. He will focus on strengthening healthcare partnerships, advancing innovation, and improving outcomes for patients living with chronic diseases.

Novo Nordisk and Al Ain Pharmacy: Fighting Obesity Together

Al Ain, UAE – 30 June, 2026: Novo Nordisk, a global leader in the treatment of obesity and diabetes, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Ain Pharmacy Group, aimed at increasing awareness for obesity as a chronic disease, while engaging the public and healthcare professionals in Al Ain.     

As part of the MoU’s scope, the two parties organized the “Live Lighter™ in Al Ain” event at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain.  The event gathered several groups of stakeholders involved in obesity management to discuss this issue, with a particular focus on the Al Ain community.

From Obesity to Wellness” Awareness Campaign: Promoting Awareness on Obesity Risks Under the Supervision of Emirates Hospitals and in Collaboration with Novo Nordisk

The event was organized by iConference and featured various educational activities and lectures focused on the importance of improving lifestyle and overall health.
