Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, (23 April, 2026): Alshaya Group proudly announced the grand opening of its first offshoring Global Talent Centre in Egypt under the patronage of Eng. Ahmed El Zaher, Chief Executive Officer of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and in the presence of John Hadden, Chief Executive Officer of Alshaya Group as part of the celebration marking Alshaya Egypt’s 20th anniversary

This Global Talent Centre is located within Alshaya Group’s new head office in Egypt located at the well-known development Citystars. Alshaya Group Takes Over Starbucks in Greece and Cyprus

Alshaya Group acquires the Starbucks franchise in Greece and Cyprus and becomes the new exclusive owner and operator

KUWAIT – Wednesday 8 April 2026: Alshaya Group has today announced that it has acquired the Starbucks Greece & Cyprus licensed business, becoming the new exclusive owner and operator of the business, which was formerly operated by Marinopoulos family and led by Managing Director, Giannis Marinopoulos, who will return to the family business.

Opening in 2002, Starbucks Greece & Cyprus operates 30 stores in Greece and 18 in Cyprus and employs around 500 people.

As one of Starbucks’ largest and long-standing licensed partners across the world, since it’s first Starbucks in Kuwait in 1999, Alshaya Group now operates over 2,000 stores in 13 countries, offering the unique Starbucks experience to over one million customers every day.

Primark Launches First Store in Dubai Mall

PRIMARK OPENS ITS FIRST STORE IN DUBAI IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ALSHAYA GROUP

  • Primark has officially opened its doors in The Dubai Mall, marking the retailer’s second store in the Middle East and first store in the UAE
  • In partnership with Alshaya Group, Primark set to open an additional two stores in Dubai in April and May, followed by Bahrain and Qatar later this year.

Kuwait | 26 March 2026 10:00 GST: Today, international fashion retailer Primark, in partnership with Alshaya Group, made its highly anticipated UAE debut with the opening of its first store in the iconic Dubai Mall. The opening marks an important step in the retailer’s international expansion as it enters its 19th market globally.
