The Heart of Europe: Dubai’s Cool Summer Escape

The Heart of Europe announces European Summer for UAE residents to experience a cooler summer this year

Guests can cool off on the islands’ iconic Raining Street where the temperature breezes at a pleasant 27°C

Date: Dubai, UAE; July 07, 2026

While the UAE tolerates a sweltering summer for the next few months, with temperatures exceeding 50°C, a dreamy, luxury staycation destination in Dubai is cruising past the heat by embracing the festive spirit of European summer. The Heart of Europe, a premier cluster of islands, has announced the onset of European Summer at its hotels voco Dubai Nice and voco Dubai Monaco, introducing interactive events inspired by the cultures and lifestyles of popular European locations. Residents in the UAE seeking to escape the scorching weather can experience the quintessential summer of Europe, particularly on the islands’ iconic climate-controlled Raining Street where the temperature is maintained at a mellow 27°C.

Summer in Europe is traditionally welcomed with an array of celebrations featuring music, art, food, and entertainment, attracting global attention. The continent is a seasonal favourite among UAE holidaymakers and receives about one-third of travellers from the UAE every year. However, with the current heatwaves affecting a large portion of Europe, many UAE residents are reconsidering their travel itineraries. Furthermore, a 40 percent jump in airfares, visa delays, and surging travel expenses are compelling vacationers to look for alternatives.

Parisa Seif, Managing Partner at Kleindienst Group, said, “The Heart of Europe is more than just a collection of island resorts; it is visionary development that responds to the demand for exclusive leisure retreats in the UAE. From our world-class hotels to exclusive entertainment activations, each aspect is crafted to offer residents a dreamy escape away from the urban hustle.

“With Europe battling unfavourable weather conditions, the tourism market in the UAE is noting an obvious shift in travel patterns. Holidaymakers are either looking for cooler destinations or deciding to opt for staycations. Leveraging on the current market preferences, we have launched the European Summer programme, which recreates the flair of Europe and delivers a cooler summer to guests.”

Running from June to September 2026, European Summer encompasses a series of festivals celebrating European cities every month. The season commenced with the Italian Riviera-inspired Portofino Festival in June.

From July 3 to July 30, the island will be dressed in the vibrant colours of Europe, adopting a pan-European essence with It’s a Wonderful Life. Guests will be treated to a nostalgic line-up of shows showcasing eras of timeless music. Pool events will run from morning to sunset, featuring Mediterranean-inspired entertainment and French Riviera culture.

The latter half of the day will introduce the Italian tradition of a pre-dinner snack, or Aperitivo. Lively performances and a high-energy choreography inspired by the glamour of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe will keep guests enthralled. In addition, the stage will be set for vintage summer vibes, turning back time for the guests to discover seaside traditions of the late 20th century. Concepts like Italian La Dolce Vita, Mondrian art, and urban disco will shape performances at the gala dinner.

“The European Summer is an innovative approach to make the season memorable and entertaining for our guests. Our location naturally fortifies the islands from the scorching mainland weather, in addition to the temperature-controlled Raining Street where temperature is maintained at 27°C. Guests can indulge in cool showers on the Raining Street – the perfect break from the summer heat,” Parisa said.

“Following the biting winter and a short-lived spring, countries in Europe look forward to enjoying the refreshing summer accompanied by sunny days, cool nights, outdoor activities, and cross-country travels. We want to emulate this culture during the European Summer season at The Heart of Europe,” she further added.

Following the conclusion of It’s a Wonderful Life, Ibiza Festival will capture the Mediterranean island’s vibrant energy through sunset shows and contemporary entertainment in August. Marbella Festival will bring the elegance of southern Spain to life through Andalusian culture and flamenco in September. The season will end with Adiós Summer, Servus Autumn, marking the transition into a new season.

Each festival and its series of events have been exclusively arranged by NuArt Events, a luxury entertainment design and show production pioneer headquartered in Italy. Inspired by the excellence of Made in Italy, the company combines theatrical storytelling, craftsmanship, and visual design to create a cohesive artistic direction that integrates entertainment into every stage of the guest journey.

Rodolfo Diaz Utra, Artistic Director at NuArt Events, said,”Drawing on the vision of The Heart of Europe, we are shaping an artistic programme where every experience feels like part of a larger narrative, transforming entertainment into a defining element of the destination and establishing the islands as a hub for innovation and European artistic excellence.

“Every month, we are showcasing an incredible series of immersive experiences that serenade the cultures of cities and towns in Europe. In July, we have orchestrated daily events showcasing pan-European summer celebrations from breakfast to dinner, followed by exclusive night-life shows.”

Alongside the festivals, guests can experience a curated portfolio of signature moments including Breakfast Show on the Raining Street, Pool Glam featuring the Sunset Show, Bellamour: The Pearl Opening, featuring a real mermaid experience, the Dinner Show, Nocturna Cabaret, and Tunaria, a monthly celebration featuring the traditional tuna-cutting ceremony. Together, these experiences create a continuous artistic narrative that enriches every stage of the guest journey while reinforcing The Heart of Europe’s identity as an immersive European destination.
