Canadian University Dubai (CUD) further reinforced its position as a future-focused institution driving engineering innovation, regional collaboration, and global academic engagement as an Organizing Partner of IEEE Smart Mobility 2026, hosted last week in collaboration with Alamein International University (AIU) in Alamein City.

Organized in collaboration with IEEE and technically sponsored by the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society, the conference brought together leading researchers, innovators, policymakers, industry experts, and academic institutions from across the region and internationally to explore the future of intelligent transportation systems, artificial intelligence, sustainable mobility, and future-ready infrastructure.

The conference also marked the culmination of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding signed between CUD and AIU reflecting a shared commitment to advancing long-term academic collaboration, interdisciplinary research, innovation exchange, and future-focused education between the UAE and Egypt.

مؤتمر دولي تحتضنه أستانا: 800 عام على تأسيس دولة القبيلة الذهبية الكازاخية

أستانا – انطلقت بقصر الاستقلال في العاصمة الكازاخستانية أستانا اليوم (الثلاثاء) فعاليات المؤتمر الدولي الخاص بتراث القبيلة الذهبية بعنوان “القبيلة الذهبية نموذجًا لحضارة السهوب: التاريخ، الآثار، الثقافة، الهوية” احتفالا بمرور 800 عام على تأسيس دولة القبيلة الذهبية والذي يستمر لمدة يومين برعاية اليونسكو وبمشاركة رئيس كازاخستان قاسم جومارت توكاييف الذي أطلق فكرة المؤتمر 2019، وعدد كبير من العلماء والخبراء المحليين والأجانب، وممثلين عن المجتمع العلمي الدولي.

ويهدف المؤتمر إلى ترسيخ مكانة كازاخستان كمركز دولي رائد لدراسة تراث القبيلة الذهبية، وإبراز إمكاناتها العلمية في مجال حضارات وسط أوراسيا، وذلك من خلال تحليل شامل ومتكامل للتراث السياسي والاقتصادي والثقافي والروحي لحضارة “أولوسجوتشي”، ودورها في تشكيل العمليات الحضارية في منطقة أوراسيا الوسطى.

International Conference on Golden Horde Heritage in Astana

800 Years Since the Founding of the Golden Horde State

Astana – Today (Tuesday), the activities of the international conference titled “The Golden Horde: The Heritage of the Steppe Civilization as Exemplified by the Golden Horde: History, Archaeology, Culture, Identity” commenced at the Palace of Independence in the Kazakh capital, Astana. The event celebrates the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Golden Horde state. The two-day conference is held under the auspices of UNESCO, with the participation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who initiated the conference idea in 2019, alongside a large number of local and foreign scientists and experts, and representatives of the international scientific community.

The conference aims to solidify Kazakhstan’s status as a leading international center for studying the heritage of the Golden Horde, and to highlight its scientific capabilities in Central Asian and Eurasian civilizations. This is achieved through a comprehensive and integrated analysis of the political, economic, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the “Ulus of Jochi” civilization, and its role in shaping civilizational processes in the Central Eurasian region.
