الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي وجامعة الخليج الطبية يوقعان مذكرة تفاهم

 لتعزيز صحة أصحاب الهمم

  •   تمتد المذكرة لعامين قابلة للتجديد، وتركز على الصحة والتدريب.
  • تسعى المذكرة لزيادة الوعي لدى طلاب الجامعة بالمتطلبات الصحية لذوي الإعاقات الذهنية والنمائية، لضمان حصولهم على رعاية صحية مناسبة.
  •   يتيح التعاون بين الجانبين فرص تدريب وتطوع لطلاب جامعة الخليج الطبية ضمن برامج الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي.

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 19 سبتمبر 2025: وقع الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي وجامعة الخليج الطبية مذكرة تفاهم استراتيجية تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي في مجالات الصحة والتدريب، بما يواكب رؤية دولة الإمارات لتمكين أصحاب الهمم ودمجهم في جميع مناحي الحياة. قام بتوقيه المذكرة عن الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي السيدة تالا الرمحي، نائب رئيس مجلس أمناء الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي، فيما مثل جامعة الخليج الطبية البروفيسور ماندا فينكاترامانا، القائم بأعمال رئيس الجامعة.

تعزيز فرص الرعاية الصحية لأصحاب الهمم

تشمل المذكرة، الممتدة لعامين مع القابلية للتجديد، التعاون في عدة محاور من أبرزها: إعداد برامج تدريبية مشتركة، والمشاركة في برنامج “الكشف الصحي” التابع للأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي، الذي يقدم فحوصًا مجانية للاعبين وتثقيفًا طبيًا لهم.

 تهدف الشراكة لرفع وعي طلاب الجامعة بمتطلبات ذوي الإعاقات الذهنية والنمائية، ورفع قدراتهم الخاصة باستقبال وعلاج أصحاب الهمم. ويقدم الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي تدريبًا على الرعاية الصحية الدامجة يمكن أن يستفيد منه طلاب الجامعة. كما سيتم في إطار التعاون بين الجانبين العمل على توسيع نطاق الوصول إلى خدمات الرعاية الصحية والوقائية للاعبين، وتعزيز بيئة أكاديمية تُطوّر حلولًا صحية مبتكرة لهم.

 كما تنص المذكرة على تبادل الخبرات وإتاحة الفرص التطوعية والعملية لطلاب الجامعة في برامج الأولمبياد الخاص. ووفقًا لبنود المذكرة سيتم إدراج جامعة الخليج الطبية ومراكزها الصحية في شبكة مقدمي الرعاية الصحية الموحدة التابعة للأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – September 19, 2025: Special Olympics UAE and Gulf Medical University (GMU) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance collaboration in health and training, aligned with the UAE’s vision to empower People of Determination with intellectual and developmental disabilities and promote their full inclusion in society. The MoU was signed by Tala Al Ramahi, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Special Olympics UAE and Director at the Office of Development and Martyrs Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Professor Manda Venkatramana, Chancellor, Gulf Medical University.

Gulf Medical University draws 6,000 visitors and participants to its 18th Annual Medical, Art, and Science Exhibition, awarding Dh 50,000 in cash prizes

GMU MASE 2024 showcased 1,400 exhibits across various categories, including projects, music, poetry, posters, paintings, and business ideas, all created by talented young students from 96 schools throughout the UAE.

October 28, 2024: Gulf Medical University (GMU) concluded the 18th edition of its Annual Medical, Art, and Science Exhibition (MASE) for high school students. This year, over 3,000 students from more than 96 schools participated in six categories: project, poster, painting, music, poetry, and business ideas. The hybrid event, held both online and onsite, showcased approximately 1,400 exhibits from students in grades 10, 11, and 12, competing for a total of AED 50,000 in cash prizes, along with trophies and certificates.

Gulf Medical University Celebrates World Pharmacists Day with Over 500 Pharmacists Discussing Global Health Needs

United Arab Emirates, October 2, 2024:  The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University, the UAE’s largest private academic health system, recently organized its annual celebration of World Pharmacists Day in collaboration with Thumbay Pharmacy and with the support of the Modern Pharmaceutical Company (MPC) group.

This year’s celebration aligned with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) theme, ‘Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs,’ highlighting the crucial role pharmacists play in addressing health challenges both locally and globally. The event not only prioritized the importance of pharmaceutical professionals in improving healthcare access and outcomes but also emphasized the need for ongoing education and advocacy in the field.
