SRTIP forges landmark healthcare R&D partnerships to boost Sharjah’s innovation economy

3 MoU’s signed with Emirates Health Services, Sharjah Health Authority, and BEEAH Group, to boost healthcare

SHARJAH, UAE, May 04, 2025: The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) has signed a trio of strategic memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with leading government and private sector stakeholders, cementing the emirate’s commitment to advancing healthcare research and innovation.

The signing ceremony, attended and supported by Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson and President of SRTIP, marked a pivotal moment in the emirate’s strategy to become a regional hub for cutting-edge medical innovation.

The three agreements, inked with Emirates Health Services (EHS), Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), and environmental and sustainability pioneer BEEAH Group, underscore SRTIP’s multi-pronged approach to fostering a dynamic, research-driven healthcare ecosystem.

**Emirates Digestive Diseases Week 2025: Advancing Innovations in Digestive Health** 

The Emirates Digestive Diseases Week (EDDW) 2025, a premier event in gastroenterology, was successfully convened from April 25–26 at Dubai’s Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel. Organized in partnership with Mediclinic Middle East and executed by iConference, the conference drew over 1,200 healthcare professionals, fostering dialogue on groundbreaking advancements in digestive health and underscoring the transformative power of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care.

There is a fact that stigma is the strongest barrier to reach to mental health support or treatment.

 »» We cannot deny the power of cultural stigma as the biggest barrier to seek mental health care. To be specific, if you have a mental illness; you are a sinner or you are possessed by evil spirits or you have a bad karma. Mental health is a taboo or shame rather than a condition that may be addressed by professionals and that can be healed, alleviated or cleared up.  It is not uncommon that if you have a family member who seems odd, this member is hidden as much as possible as it brings shame to family.
