Under the patronage of Mauritania President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and through the contribution of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Supreme President of the Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah, the new headquarters of the Arabic Language Council in Nouakchott, Mauritania, was inaugurated on Monday.

 Moro Hub Powers Sustainable Digital Transformation for Dubai Islamic Bank with a Green Data Centre

Dubai, UAE, 27 December 2023:Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), signed an agreement with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), a pioneer in Islamic banking, enabling the bank to leverage Moro Hub’s state-of-the-art green data centre facilities located in the Mohammad Bin Rashid Solar Park.

The agreement was signed during COP28 UAE at Expo City Dubai. The signing ceremony was addressed by Mohammad Bin Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of Moro Hub and Obaid Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Islamic Bank in the presence of several other VIPs and notable dignitaries from both parties.

Dubai – December 27, 2023: An innovative agricultural project in the United Arab Emirates, has marked a significant milestone by generating 5 million euros from carbon credit sales. This achievement illustrates a successful blend of economic gain and environmental responsibility, leveraging the latest trend in global climate action initiatives.

Carbon credits are permits that allow a company to emit a certain quantity of greenhouse gases, with one credit equaling the emission of one ton of carbon dioxide or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases. Companies are allocated a specific number of these credits. If they reduce their emissions and have surplus credits, they can sell these to other companies in what is known as carbon markets.
