Dubai Expo concludes; India Pavilion’s legacy continues
DUBAI, April 04, 2022: The India Pavilion successfully signed off from the EXPO2020 Dubai as curtains came down on the six-month long mega event on March 31st. As one of the largest and most iconic pavilions at the Expo, the India Pavilion recorded more than 1.75 million footfalls since its inauguration on October 1st last year.

DUBAI, March 29, 2022: India’s Bollywood superstar, Mr. Ranveer Singh visited the India Pavilion at EXPO2020 Dubai yesterday. Ranveer, along with Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of Information & Broadcasting (I&B) and Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India participated in the session, ‘The Global Reach of Indian Media & Entertainment Industry’.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Thakur said, “India has a lot to offer to the world, from the cosmic world to the cinema, from yoga to Ayurveda, new India, the startups and IT hubs. The AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) sector of India has potential to grow as one of the largest industries in the world. India is a land of storytelling, and the film industry is the soft power of India.”

Commerce & Industry Minister to lead the Indian participation at India’s National Honour Day celebrations at Expo2020 Dubai
DUBAI, March 28, 2022: Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, and Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha yesterday said that the world desires India to play a much more important role in international trade in the years to come. “We can proudly say that our USD 400 billion export achievement, which is a historic high, is just a beginning and we believe that the world desires India to be among the leading players in the international trade in the years to come,” added Shri Goyal. He was addressing media on the first day of his 3-day visit to the UAE, during which he will lead the Indian participation at India’s National Honour Day celebrations at Dubai Expo2020 on March 29th.
