ROMANIA CROWNED WORLD CHAMPIONS IN RAS AL KHAIMAHAT ELECTRIFYING 2023 WMF MINIFOOTBALL WORLD CUPCLOSING CEREMONY

The tournament came to a thrilling end as Romania beat Kazakhstan in a nail-bitingfinalmatch which went into extra time (2:2) and ended in a tense penalty shoot-outon November 4th.

Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, 5thNovember 2023: In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ceramics,the 2023 WMF Minifootball World Cup came to a thrilling end with Romania crowned the World Champions after 10 days of sporting action in Ras Al Khaimah. His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Saud Al Qasimi, together with WMF President, Filip Juda,presented the trophy to the Romanianteam, who triumphed over Kazakhstan in the World Cup final.

To the delight of visitors to the 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair currently taking place at Sharjah Expo Centre, a roaming performance featuring a life-sized wooden artist’s mannequin provided a fun and interactive activity for people of all ages. This act, which has graced international book fairs across nine different countries, captivated audiences with its unique blend of creativity and entertainment, as “Woodenman” took selfies with attendees with its playful and engaging poses. Adorned with a giant-sized pencil and his artistic wooden-like costume, this act lit up the halls of Sharjah Expo Centre and proved to be a joy for all to witness.2- SIBF logo
