The House of Wisdom (HoW) is actively promoting awareness about optimal sustainability practices and their significance in preserving the environment. This initiative is in sync with the UAE’s central theme for 2023 as the “Year of Sustainability,” and mirrors the nation’s dedication to the objectives of COP28. The House of Wisdom is showcasing these efforts during their participation at the 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) held at Expo Centre Sharjah.

تحت رعاية وحضور الشيخ سلطان بن سالم القاسمي رئيس دائرة الطيران المدني في حكومة راس الخيمة وسفير دولة ساحل العاج ديابي فيكبا وصاحب مجموعة جيجت للاستثمارات الراعي الرسمي للمؤتمر السيد فادي العزام والسيدة ليندا بينالال منظمة المؤتمر وصاحبة شركة ل.م.ب لخدمات وادارة المشاريع ،أقيم المؤتمر الاماراتي الافريقي للاستثمارات المتبادلة بدورته السادسة في فندق كارلتون تاور بدبي، ويستهدف المؤتمر استقطاب الاستثمارات المتبادلة بين دولة الامارات من جهة والدول الافريقية من جهة أخرى.
وشهدت هذه الدورة من المؤتمر الذي نظمته شركة ل.م. ب للخدمات وادارة المشاريع بالتعاون مع فريق فخر زايد التطوعي و شركة ستار جروب ساحل العاج ، مشاركة العديد من الدول الافريقية منها: المغرب والجزائر وساحل العاج والكونغو وتوغو وغانا وغيرها.
ووقعت شركة ل. م .ب عقد استثمار بقيمة 220 مليون دولار في دولة ساحل العاج في العاصمة الاقتصادية الجديدة يموسوكرو يتمثل في بناء مدينة العاب وبنايات سكنية ذكية بحضور ميليج دينس صاحب شركة التطوير العقاري المنفذة للمشروع، و عقد استثمار بقيمة 100 مليون دولار مع شركة جروب ايدن افريقيا مطور عقاري بحضور كاكو امونفن صاحب الشركة .
Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure briefed on Lootah Biofuels’ efforts in sustainable energy development
A high-level delegation from the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, led by H.E. Eng. Saif Ghobash, Assistant Undersecretary for the Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Sector, was briefed on the sustainable solutions offered by Lootah Biofuels, a pioneer in the circular economy that produces biofuels from used cooking oil (UCO), highlighting its efforts in innovating clean energy solutions were in line with the UAE’s efforts in transitioning to renewable energy and the strategic initiative to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
The visit, which was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to learn about pioneering clean energy experiences, achievements and challenges in the field and to support partnerships between the public and private sectors to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global economic hub and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
