Dubai, UAE – Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has successfully organised 276 bilateral business meetings between companies from Dubai and their counterparts in Accra, the capital city of the Republic ofGhana. The meetings took place during the first stop of the trade mission led by the chamber to Ghana and Ethiopia as part of its ‘New Horizons’ initiative, which aims to support the expansion of local companies into promising global markets.

HoW celebrates Emirati Writer’s Day with writers, publishers and readers


Sharjah, May 26, 2026,

Marking Emirati Writer’s Day, the House of Wisdom (HoW) in Sharjah hosted a two-day cultural programme featuring panel discussions, literary activities, and book signings to strengthen the presence of Emirati writers and create opportunities for direct engagement between readers and creators.

The programme featured “Our Writers”, which included a mini exhibition of Emirati literary publications, alongside a discussion, organised in collaboration with Kalimat Group, exploring young adult literature in the UAE through the novel “The Story Thief,” coinciding with the book’s official launch at HoW.

A home for creators and a community for readers

Commenting on the programme, Marwa Al Aqroubi, Executive Director of HoW, said:
“Emirati Writer’s Day celebrates the creative voices that have shaped the UAE’s cultural landscape and carried the country’s identity, stories and values to new generations through writing. Emirati writers play a vital role in preserving cultural memory, strengthening the presence of language and knowledge, and building dialogue with the world. HoW continues to support Emirati writers by creating interactive spaces that connect them with readers and reinforce the relationship between society, books and knowledge.”

Abu Dhabi / Tokyo, May 25, 2026: The United Arab Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, continued its post-Expo legacy initiatives through a special engagement at Keio University in Tokyo, examining how the Pavilion’s Youth Ambassador Programme combined leadership development, cultural representation and global engagement during Expo 2025 Osaka.

Held as part of Keio University’s “Regional Culture: Arab World” course, the session also coincided with the first anniversary of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Centre for Arabic Language Education, established through a partnership between Keio University and the UAE University.
