Dubai Opera announces the 2023-2024 Season

A Celebration of the Cultures of the World

Entering its 7th anniversary, Dubai Opera extends its influence beyond the region to the global stage as an iconic “House of Cultures”

• The season ahead is nothing short of groundbreaking, boasting over 40 eclectic performances. From opera and ballet to musicals and drama, the range is expansive.

• The Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala from Milan graces the UAE with its inaugural performance, a milestone for Dubai Opera.

• Dual opening galas set the stage for the season, featuring Swan Lake and Madama Butterfly as performed by the Hungarian State Ballet and Opera.

• The Middle East debut of the MusicAeterna Orchestra comes under the expert direction of Teodor Currentzis, another highlight of Dubai Opera’s season.

• Spectacular productions of the best-selling musicals Matilda and Phantom of the Opera are set to mesmerize on the iconic Dubai Opera stage.

• In a first, Dubai Opera launches the first edition of the Film Music Week to celebrate cinematic scores, joining the roster alongside the 2024 edition of the Dubai Comedy Festival.

[Dubai, United Arab Emirates]-  After the international success of meta-spiritual short film Ayah in association with Firdaus Studio by A.R. Rahman, film director and producer Zenofar Fathima is now prepared to venture into new cinematic territory with her first ever feature film after producing and directing over 10 short films during her career spanning five years.

To date, Fathima has tackled societal issues of cyber extortion, depression, domestic violence and even the Dark Web with her short films that she touts as “mini lessons to society”.

بعد النجاح الدولي لفيلمها القصير” آية ” بالاشتراك مع “استوديو فردوس للمخرج “إيه.آر رحمن”،المخرجة والمنتجة السينمائية “زينوفار فاطمة ” وبعد إنتاج وإخراج أكثر من 10 أفلام قصيرة خلال مسيرتها المهنية التي امتدت لخمس سنوات ، عالجت وطرحت فيها قضايا تتعلق  بالقضايا المجتمعية للابتزاز عبر الإنترنت والاكتئاب والعنف المنزلي وشبكة الويب المظلمة ،بأفلامها القصيرة التي تروج لها على أنها “دروس مصغرة للمجتمع”، اليوم تنطلق للمغامرة في مجال سينمائي جديد مع أول فيلم روائي طويل لها.

وقد كشفت “فاطمة” عن تفاصيل متعلقة بالفيلم الجديد،الذي يحمل عنوان “ماوراء الحدود”، في عرض خاص لفيلمها “آيه” حضره وكبار الشخصيات و وسائل الإعلام مساء الجمعة الماضي.
