Dubai, UAE: The final day of the Desert Architecture MENA Forum 2026 placed sustainability, environmental intelligence and climate-responsive design at the centre of discussions, bringing together architects, urban planners, developers, policymakers and technology leaders to explore how the region can shape a new architectural identity for the desert century.

Held under the theme “Integrating Heritage with Innovation: The Future of Desert Living,” the forum examined how desert environments can become global benchmarks for sustainable urban development by combining cultural heritage, advanced technologies and environmentally responsible design practices.

AD Ports Group Launches Noatum ‎Ports – Maqta Ayla Digital Solutions in Jordan

Aqaba, Jordan / Abu Dhabi, UAE – 18 June 2026: AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a leading global enabler of integrated trade, industry and logistics solutions, today announced the operational launch of Noatum ‎Ports – Maqta Ayla Digital Solutions, a joint venture between AD Ports Group and Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC). The initiative marks a significant step towards reinforcing Aqaba’s position as a leading regional trade and logistics hub, while supporting Jordan’s broader economic development plans.

The joint venture, operating under Noatum Ports, the Group’s international ports operating arm, was established following an agreement signed with Aqaba Development Corporation to develop and operate a Port Community System (PCS). The project aims to enhance digital integration and facilitate information exchange among port users, the container terminal, relevant authorities, and all stakeholders, contributing to increased operational and logistical efficiency in Aqaba.

Sharjah Deepens Economic Ties with China in Emerging Industries

Sharjah is deepening its economic engagement with China as the emirate pursues new opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, smart mobility and sustainable energy through a high-level mission to Guangdong Province, one of China’s leading centres of innovation and industrial production.

Led by the Department of Government Relations (DGR), the delegation brought together senior representatives from government, investment promotion, digital transformation, sustainability and business sectors to engage with some of China’s most influential public and private institutions. The mission also coincided with participation in AIM Talks China 2026, organised by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade in partnership with the AIM Global Foundation.
