Ready for E-Mobility?

Arthur D. Little’s Global Electric Mobility Readiness Index (GEMRIX) 2023 highlights MENA’s progress on the road to electric mobility and signals the region’s wider commitment to a sustainable future.

With the planet edging towards breaking point, energy is both part of the problem and part of the solution, with the need to transition from fossil fuels to cleaner, greener energy growing by the day. The transport sector, in particular, is responsible for around a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions, making electrification of transportation an urgent priority for government and industry alike if the global drive for sustainability is to meet with any measure of meaningful success.

  جامعة دبي تنظم مؤتمرا دوليا حول تطوير ادارة الأعمال

نظمت كلية دبي للأعمال في جامعة دبي بمقر الجامعة في المدينة الأكاديمية المؤتمر الدولي السابع حول تطوير الأعمال تحت شعار “الحلول المستدامة للحاضر والمستقبل” بمشاركة أكثر من 50 من العلماء والباحثين من أكثر من 20 دولة عربية وأجنبية.

وقال الدكتور عيسى البستكي رئيس جامعة دبي إن الجامعة تهدف من خلال المؤتمر والذي تزامن مع انعقاد الدورة الثامنة والعشرين من مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ “كوب 28” التي استضافتها دولة الإمارات في مدينة إكسبو دبي الى تسليط الضوء على أهمية البحوث والدراسات ودورها في دعم برامج تطوير الاقتصاد والأعمال في دبي ودولة الامارات ولا سيما في قطاع الادارة وفي مجالات الإبداع والتطوير والذكاء الإصطناعي والاستدامة وتعزيز الابتكار والتميز.

وأكد أهمية الدراسات والبحوث العلمية المعمقة التي تطرح المشاكل وتوفر الحلول التطبيقية في هذه المجالات كافة.

واضاف انه لا مستقبل لأي اقتصاد ان لم يكن مدعوما بدراسات وابحاث علمية معمقة تطرح المشاكل وتاتي بالحلول التطبيقية.

Hamad Rashid Al-Mohannadi, former General Manager (1992-2007) and Chairman (2011-2014), Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), and Founding Board Member, Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) (2006 – 2009), was honored with the 5th GPCA Legacy Award “Al-Rowad” (الرّواد) – The Honor of a Lifetime.

Eng. Hamad Rashid Al-Mohannadi was recognized at a special award ceremony on 3 December 2023 during the 17th Annual GPCA Forum which took place in Doha, Qatar last week. Eng. Al-Mohannadi was presented on stage with a special trophy by H.E. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, in the presence of Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fageeh, CEO, SABIC and Chairman, GPCA.
