In a historic move at COP28 in the UAE, Tanzanian President, H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, unveiled the African Women Clean Cooking Support Programme (AWCCSP), a transformative initiative spanning from 2023 to 2026. This three-year program is set to address critical gender, environmental, health, and economic challenges faced by women and girls in Africa resulting from traditional cooking methods.

Arab Health sells out as international exhibitors hit record levels

  • Arab Health will this year welcome over 40 country pavilions, including Serbia and Hong Kong, who will make their debut at the 2024 edition of the event
  •   A total of 73 countries will be represented by exhibitors as Arab Health takes over the Dubai World Trade Centre, with a total of 25 halls occupied
  • More than 110,000 healthcare professional visits are expected for the 49th edition of the show when it returns from 29 January to 1 February 2024

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 5 December 2023: Arab Health 2024, the Middle East’s largest healthcare event, officially sold out in November, over three months ahead of the exhibition start date, with a record number of international exhibitors taking to the show floor.

UAE National Banks’ Pledge to mobilise over AED 1 trillion in Sustainable Finance, reaffirming UAE leadership’s goals: UBF  

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; 05 December 2023:

UAE Banks Federation (UBF), the sole representative and unified voice of banks in the UAE, reaffirmed its commitment to support UAE’s goals by pledging to mobilise over AED 1 trillion, which represents more than US$ 270 billion, in sustainable finance by the year 2030. His Excellency Abdulaziz Al-Ghurair, Chairman of UAE Banks Federation, announced the pledge at an event organised jointly by Central Bank of the UAE with the COP28 Presidency to support and facilitate global climate finance solutions and progress towards a sustainable future.
