  • Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, June 4, 2024:Special Olympics UAE celebrated the team’s outstanding success at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 at a special event held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center on June 3.The 103 athletes who represented the UAE at the world’s largest sporting event for People of Determination demonstrated exceptional skill, winning 18 gold, 22 silver, and 33 bronze medals –the strongest performance by a MENA country at the Berlin Games.

نهائيات دوري الروبوتات الموحدة تشهد مشاركة 52 فريقًا موحدًا وتتوج الفائزين

  • شارك 52 فريقًا في نهائيات الدورة الثالثة من دوري الروبوتات الموحدة من إجمالي 142 فريقًا شاركوا في الجولات التأهيلية.
  • أقيمت النهائيات في مركز أبوظبي للطاقة، واستضافت مقرات كليات التقنية العليا في الإمارات المختلفة الجولات التأهيلية.
  • قام بالتحكيم في النهائيات 13 محكمًا متمرساً من خلفيات تعليمية وتقنية مختلفة يمثلون عدة مؤسسات متخصصة في الإمارات.

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة –23 مايو 2024: شهدت نهائيات الدورة الثالثة من دوري الروبوتات الموحدة منافسات قوية بين 52 فريقًا بإجمالي 236 طالباً و 104 مشرفاً من كل إمارات الدولة. وبدأ الدوري لذي نظمه الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي للعام الثالث، بدعم من أدنوك كشريك استراتيجي، في شهر أكتوبر الماضي، وعقدت عدة جولات من التصفيات الحماسية تبارى فيها 142 فريقًا من 142 مدرسة من كل أنحاء الدولة، بإجمالي عدد 640 طالب من ذوي الاعاقة الذهنية والنمائية وزملاءهم الطلاب من مدارس الحلقة الأولى والثانية والثالثة، ضمن مسابقات مخصصة للفئات العمرية المختلفة.

52  unified teams participate in the Unified Robotics League Finals

  • The event, organized by special Olympics UAE, with the support of ADNOC, as a strategic partner, saw 52 unified teams compete for the Unified Robotics League title.
  • The finals were held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, following national qualifying rounds, that included 142 teams from schools nationwide.
  • The finals were judged by 13 experienced educational and technical experts, representing several specialized institutions in the UAE.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – May 23, 2024: 52 unified teams from schools across the UAE competed in the finals of the Unified Robotics League, which is organized by Special Olympics UAE for the third year, with the support of ADNOC as a strategic partner and sponsor. The qualifying rounds began during October 2023, and witnessed several rounds, during which 142 teams from 142 schools across the UAE competed. A total of 640 students of determination with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their unified partners, participated in competitions designed for different age groups.

Inaugural Special Olympics Gulf Badminton competition – Abu Dhabi 2024 concludes with Awarding Ceremony at Khalifa University

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – May 13, 2024: The inaugural Special Olympics Gulf Badminton Competition – Abu Dhabi 2024, concluded with an awarding ceremony, held at Khalifa University.

The event, held between May 9 to 12, was organized as a collaboration between Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa and Special Olympics UAE. Abdullah Al Nubi, Special Olympics Oman, secured the gold medal in the men’s competition in Division One, Hassan Ali Al Blooshi, Special Olympics UAE, secured the gold medal in Division Two, while Mahmoud Ghaloum, Special Olympics Bahrain, topped Division Three.

In the women’s competition, Shahad Abdullah, Special Olympics Saudi Arabia, won gold medal in Division One, while Sheikha Al-Hindi, Special Olympics Kuwait and Zakia Ahmed Abbas, Special Olympics UAE, secured the gold across Division Two and Three, respectively. In the double’s competitions, Abdullah Al Noubi and Fawaz Faraj, Special Olympics Oman, won gold for Division One, while Hassan Ali Al Blooshi and Zayed Ali Al Kaabi, Special Olympics UAE topped Division Two. In the women’s doubles competition, Zakia Ahmed Abbas and Zuleikha Ghareeb Al Mansouri, Special Olympics UAE, took the gold.
