أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 17 يونيو 2025: اعتمدت سمو الشيخة مريم بنت محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، المؤسس والرئيسة الفخرية للأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي، قرارًا بإعادة تشكيل مجلس أمناء مؤسسة الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي، ليضم في تشكيله الجديدة أعضاءً من اللاعبين وأولياء أمورهم، تعزيزًا لمبدأ الدمج الشامل، وضمانًا لإيصال صوت أصحاب الهمم بشكل مباشر في صياغة البرامج والمبادرات المستقبلية. ويترأس المجلس الجديد المهندس شريف عفيف الشامي، والد أحد لاعبي الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي، مما يعكس التزام المؤسسة بتعزيز الشراكة الفاعلة بين الأسر واللاعبين في كافة جوانب العمل المؤسسي.

Special Olympics UAE Announces New Board of Trustees

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – June 17, 2025—Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Founder and Honorary President of Special Olympics UAE, has approved the new structure of the organization’s Board of Trustees. The new board reflects a renewed commitment to inclusive leadership and deeper engagement with families and athletes, placing them at the heart of institutional development.

Engineer Sharif Afif Al Shami, the father of a Special Olympics UAE athlete, will chair the new board. His appointment highlights the organization’s dedication to strengthening effective partnerships with families and ensuring their integral role in shaping programs and initiatives that serve People of Determination.

The new Special Olympics UAE Board of Trustees includes individuals with extensive experience across health, education, media, and social development sectors.

RIT Dubai hosted graduation of NOMU Al Ghurair Women in AI program

100 Emirati women empowered to excel in Artificial Intelligence

June 17,2025: Dubai, UAE: Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has hosted the graduation of the NOMU Al Ghurair Women in AI program, in collaboration with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) and the pioneering educational institution, ZAKA. The event recognised the achievements of 70 Emirati & Arab women who successfully completed the 20-week AI Certification program with ZAKA, which was established to increase the skills capacity in artificial intelligence and machine learning in the UAE.
