The Force was strong at the 15th Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) on Saturday as Star Wars fans and booksellers came together to celebrate May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. The 12-day festival, being organised by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) at the Sharjah Expo Centre, provided the perfect setting for fans of all ages to come together and celebrate their love for the iconic sci-fi franchise.

“Young artists should start their career in manga and anime art the traditional way with hand-drawn sketches, and not digitally, because the latter provides tools that help you edit and manipulate while the former helps you develop the senses to get the proportions right,” advised master animator Junichi Hayama at the “Drawing Masterpieces” workshop during the Sharjah Animation Conference (SAC) at Expo Centre Sharjah.
