The Emirates Esports Federation reaches collaboration with MENATech to host Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Masters

  • This is the third edition of this esports tournament in which teams from universities in the UAE, KSA, Egypt and Morocco are participating.
  • The finals of this tournament will take place on July 5 and 6 at Pixoul Gaming in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai, June 3rd, 2024- The gaming industry takes a step forward in the United Arab Emirates. The Emirates Esports Federation, an organization created by the UAE government to promote esports in the UAE by organizing and coordinating sports activities and representing the country in various external forums, has reached a collaboration agreement with MENATech Entertainment to encourage initiatives linked to the world of video games and technology in the university environment.

Axis has ambitious CO₂e reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative

Dubai, UAE, June 2024 – In line with an ongoing commitment to reduce the impact of its own operations and its value chain on the environment, the near-term targets Axis Communications AB has set to reduce its total global greenhouse gas emissions have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Axis commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. Axis also commits to reduce scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution, and use of sold products 51.6% per sold unit within the same timeframe.
