Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Chief Community Relations Office at Union Coop, confirmed that the cooperative’s Smart App and Online Store managed 161,599 purchase requests for food and non-food products during the first six months of 2024. He noted that products on both digital platforms are updated daily.

Dr. Al Bastaki highlighted that the cooperative has recently added numerous features to its app to enhance the online shopping experience for customers. This effort is part of their commitment to providing accessible products and keeping up with advances in e-commerce within the retail sector.

DUBAI, UAE, July 29, 2024 – At least 30% of generative AI (GenAI) projects will be abandoned after proof of concept by the end of 2025, due to poor data quality, inadequate risk controls, escalating costs or unclear business value, according to Gartner, Inc.

Rita Sallam, Distinguished VP Analyst at Gartner said, “After last year’s hype, executives are impatient to see returns on GenAI investments, yet organizations are struggling to prove and realize value. As the scope of initiatives widen, the financial burden of developing and deploying GenAI models is increasingly felt.”
