  • Over 84 hotels and caterers across the UAE commit to zero-waste frameworks for Ramadan 2026.
  • New MOU with Abu Dhabi National Hotels Catering (ADNH Catering) follows successful collaborative food rescue at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025.
  • High-tech ‘Smart Community Fridges’ deployed at landmark locations, including Mall of the Emirates and The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – March 11, 2026

ne’ma – the National Food Loss and Waste Initiative- is collaborating with the UAE hospitality sector to formalize food rescue as a standard operational practice. For Ramadan 2026, more than 84 hospitality outlets will contribute untouched surplus meals from Iftar buffets to an expanded network of Smart Community Fridges.

Khuloud Hassan Al Nuwais, Chief Sustainability Officer of Emirates Foundation and ne’ma’s Committee Secretary General, commented: “Our collaboration with the hospitality industry has evolved into a sophisticated, data-driven ecosystem. By integrating ‘Smart Community Fridges’ and zero-waste frameworks directly into hotel operations, we are demonstrating that large-scale food rescue can be both safe and sustainable. This shift ensures that the hospitality sector, a cornerstone of the UAE’s economy, becomes a key driver in our national mission to halve food waste by 2030.”

خلال شهر رمضان

  • أكثر من 84 فندقًا وشركة ضيافة في الدولة يلتزمون بتطبيق إطار عمل “صفر هدر غذائي” خلال شهر رمضان المبارك 2026.
  • توقيع مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة ايه دي ان اتش للتموين، امتدادًا للتعاون الناجح في إنقاذ فائض الغذاء خلال سباق جائزة أبوظبي الكبرى للفورمولا 1لموسم عام 2025.
  • توزيع “ثلاجات نعمة المجتمعية” في مواقع رئيسية، من بينها مول الإمارات ومول المركز التجاري العالمي بأبوظبي .

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 11 مارس 2026: أعلنت المبادرة الوطنية للحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء “نعمة” عن تعاون استراتيجي مع قطاع الضيافة في دولة الإمارات، بهدف ترسيخ إنقاذ فائض الغذاء كممارسة تشغيلية معيارية. وخلال شهر رمضان المبارك 2026، ستسهم أكثر من 84 جهة في قطاع الضيافة بإعادة توجيه وجبات فائض غير مستهلكة من بوفيهات الإفطار إلى شبكة موسعة من “ثلاجات نعمة المجتمعية” على مستوى الدولة.

وبهذه المناسبة، صرحت خلود حسن النويس، الرئيس التنفيذي للاستدامة في مؤسسة الإمارات وأمين عام لجنة مبادرة “نعمة“: “لقد تطور تعاوننا مع قطاع الضيافة ليصبح منظومة تشغيلية متكاملة قائمة على شراكات مؤثرة، ومستندة إلى البيانات. ومن خلال دمج “ثلاجات نعمة المجتمعية” وتطبيق إطار عمل “صفر هدر غذائي” ضمن العمليات اليومية للفنادق، نؤكد أن هذا التعاون قادر على ترسيخ ممارسات آمنة ومستدامة وعلى نطاق واسع لإنقاذ فائض الغذاء. ويعزز هذا التحول مكانة قطاع الضيافة، باعتباره أحد أعمدة اقتصاد دولة الإمارات، كشريك استراتيجي رئيسي في تحقيق الهدف الوطني بخفض فقد وهدر الغذاء إلى النصف بحلول عام 2030″.
