Mubadala’s KELIX bio Acquires DiabTec LLC, Bolstering Its Position in MENA’s Life Sciences Sector

  • A strategic move that further supports Mubadala’s efforts to advance the UAE’s life sciences sector

Abu Dhabi, 16 January 2025: KELIX bio, wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company “Mubadala”, an Abu Dhabi sovereign investor, has completed the acquisition of DiabTec LLC, a subsidiary of Julphar. This acquisition strengthens Mubadala’s portfolio of biologicals, establishes its role in biomanufacturing across the MENA region, and supports its efforts to advance the UAE’s life sciences sector through local manufacturing.

AD Ports Group Expands Cooperation withKazakh Partners

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 16 January 2025: Noatum Maritime, the Maritime & Shipping arm of AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a leading facilitator of global trade, logistics, and industry, has strengthened its collaboration with Kazakh partners by signing Heads of Terms with Kazakhstan National Shipping Company – KazMorTransFlot (KMTF), a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, the Kazakh National Oil Company, to expand operations in the Caspian Sea region.

The two parties intend to collaborate on the construction of two container vessels, specifically designed for operations in the Caspian Sea, each with a capacity exceeding 500 TEUs. These relatively larger (to existing capacity in the Caspian Sea), modern shallow draft vessels would offer enhanced turnaround times and provide increased capacity, while advanced cargo handling systems would support improved scheduling and operational efficiency.

ADNEC Group signs Solar Power Purchase Agreement with Positive Zero to accelerate clean energy transition

Abu Dhabi, 16, January 2025: ADNEC Group, a Modon Company, an international leader in managing and developing strategic assets, exhibitions, and events, today announced the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Positive Zero, the Middle East’s leading decarbonization and energy transition provider, for the installation of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed during the World Future Energy Summit at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, and Mohammed Abdulghaffar Hussain, Chairman of Positive Zero. The signing was witnessed by key representatives from both organisations.
