Dubai to Host First-Ever International Sports & Entertainment Free Zone Cluster
The International Sports and Entertainment Zone (ISEZA) is set to debut within the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) Free Zone.
It will further enhance Dubai’s status as a premier hub for sports and entertainment.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 9 March 2025: Mina Al Mazrouei, a Special Olympics UAE athlete, raised the Special Olympics flag during the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics World Winter Games – Turin 2025, which kicked off yesterday evening in Italy.
This participation serves as a reaffirmation of the significant progress made by Special Olympics UAE in using sports to integrate people of determination into society.
Furthermore, the selection of an athlete from Special Olympics UAE, from among 1,500 athletes and unified partners from 102 countries, highlights the international recognition of the UAE’s unwavering support for people of determination and its continuous efforts to provide them with opportunities for active participation in global sports events.
His Excellency Talal Al Hashemi, National Director of Special Olympics UAE and Head of the UAE Delegation to Turin 2025, said: “Since the Abu Dhabi 2019 Games, we have witnessed a new era of empowerment and excellence for people of determination in the field of sports. We have focused on investing in the strategy of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges, as adopted by our leadership. Today, we are all proud as we see our athlete Mina Al Mazrouei representing her country in the best possible way. This achievement reflects the hard work and specialist training programs that the athletes have benefited from.”
The DPL Cricket Tournament Season 5 came to an exciting conclusion with DRO PATRIOTS emerging as the champions for the second time. Led by captain Sadat Nalakath and owned by Waqas Ali Dar, The Patriots put up a stellar performance throughout the season. The defending champions, DRO KINGS, had to settle for the runners-up position this time, with captain ABS PATIL leading the team owned by Nikhil.
The star player of the tournament was Abs Patil, who not only showcased his batting skills but also excelled in all aspects of the game. The season was sponsored by Gargash Auto adding to the excitement of the tournament. Waqas Ali was awarded Best Bowler while Ashiq & Jitesh won the Best Batsman award. Siraj is the best fielder of the season.
Winners received AED 120,000.00 in prize money with gifts
Dubai, UAE: The prestigious Emaar Polo Cup 2025, held at the renowned Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, concluded with a thrilling victory for the Noon Polo Team against Bin Drai Polo team. The much-anticipated event, sponsored by Emaar and renowned for its competitive spirit and high level of play, saw the Noon Polo Team emerge as champions, claiming the impressive AED 80,000 winner’s prize and AED 40,000 runner-up’s prize from the total purse of AED 120,000.
The tournament witnessed a congregation of top-tier polo teams, with confirmed participants including Abu Dhabi Polo Team, El Basha Polo Team, AM Polo Team, Bin Drai Polo Team, Noon Polo Team, Equiti Polo Team, and Lamar Polo Team. The Final match was held between Noon Polo and Bin Drai Polo teams.
