المبادرة الوطنية للحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء “نعمة” تنفذ حملة للحد من هدر الطعام وإعادة توزيع الوجبات خلال شهر رمضان

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 30 مارس 2024: قامت المبادرة الوطنية للحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء “نِعمة” بتنفيذ برنامج إنقاذ الغذاء كجزء من حملة ” صون النعمة، فهي دائمة لمن يحفظها”، التي أطلقت في مطلع شهر رمضان المبارك لرفع مستوى الوعي وتشجيع الخطوات العملية والإيجابية للحد من فقد وهدر الغذاء خلال الشهر المبارك، حيث يهدف برنامج “نِعمة” لإنقاذ الغذاء و إعادة توزيعه ، وتقليل هدر المنتجات المحلية مما يساهم في خفض الانبعثات الكربونية المؤدية لتغير المناخ، تماشيًا مع الهدف الوطني لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة المتمثل في خفض هدر الغذاء في الدولة إلى النصف بحلول عام 2030.

وبفضل جهود العديد من المتطوعين، وعلى رأسهم معالي مريم بنت محمد المهيري، رئيسة مكتب الشؤون الدولية في ديوان الرئاسة ورئيسة لجنة المبادرة الوطنية “نعمة”، حققت “نِعمة” نجاحًا كبيرًا حيث تمكنت خلال شهر رمضان حتى الآن من إنقاذ وتوزيع 156,227  كيلوغرام من المنتجات المحلية الطازجة الفائضة ، والتي استفادت منها أكثر من 5,000 أسرة في أبوظبي والعين والشارقة.

National Food Loss and Waste Initiative, ne’ma reducing food waste and redistributing meals during Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, 30 March 2024: The National Food Loss and Waste Initiative, ne’ma (ne’ma), has launched the Food Rescue Programme, as part of its Count Your ne’ma campaign, running throughout Ramdan. Coinciding with Zayed Humanitarian Day, observed on the 19th of Ramadan each year to, commemorate the philanthropic legacy of UAE Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the campaign stands to remind the community to be mindful of the blessing of food and encourage simple behavioural changes to reduce contribution to food loss and waste, in line with Emirati traditions and values.
