Ambassadors and Diplomats Discuss DIHAD’s Humanitarian Role

Hosted by H.E. Amb. Arthur Mattli, Switzerland’s Ambassador, the Meeting Serves as a Prelude to DIHAD’s 20th Landmark Edition

Abu Dhabi, January 24, 2024: In an initiative dedicated to enhancing global collaboration for humanitarian excellence, His Excellency Amb. Arthur Mattli, the Switzerland Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, hosted a high-level introductory meeting today at the Swiss Residence on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The meeting gathered ambassadors and diplomatic mission representatives in the United Arab Emirates. It served as a prelude to the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference & Exhibition (DIHAD) landmark 20th Edition.

First Partners Forum among UAE state entities held as platform for better service

Abu Dhabi; 23 January 2024

Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities recently organized the first Partners Forum in Abu Dhabi with leaders and senior officials from 24 government agencies and private entities in attendance.

The forum seeks to provide a pro-active platform that will enhance coordination and collaboration amongst various government institutions to plan, develop and implement initiatives that serve the nation and the community’s interests, as well as support the UAE leadership’s goals.

More than 100 attendees participated in the forum which hope to contribute significantly to creating a safer, more peaceful, happier and more prosperous society. Private sector representatives were also present to ensure harmonious collaboration with government agencies on projects that will be proposed and approved in due course.

Emirates NBD Group engaged local sustainable businesses to create COP28 stand

Dubai, UAE, 17 January 2024: Emirates NBD Group, a leading banking group in the MENAT (Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye) region, solidified its commitment to the UAE’s Year of Sustainability with an environmentally conscious approach in designing its stand at the 28th edition of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Dubai recently.

Inspired by nature, the Emirates NBD stand at COP28 incorporated designs that drew inspiration from mangroves and other plants, including decorative moss, to reflect a truly sustainable structure. Mangroves play a valuable role within the UAE’s natural environment and sustain ecosystems including other plants and animals. This symbolism was a key part of the Emirates NBD stand to accentuate its UAE heritage.

Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of Sharjah-based global humanitarian organisation, The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), recently visited Egypt where HH held meetings with officials overseeing various educational, health and development institutions that work in collaboration with TBHF.

Sheikha Jawaher’s visit reaffirms Egypt’s distinguished position in the Arab renaissance and its rich cultural landscape. During her discussions with the institutions’ administrations and staff, Her Highness explored future plans necessary to develop them and increase their efficiency to better serve the Egyptian society.
