Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities and the United Arab Emirates University forge strategic partnership at COP28

14 December 2023; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities and the United Arab Emirates University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation and align strategic initiatives.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, chancellor of Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities; and His Excellency Professor Dr. Ghaleb Ali Al Buraiki, acting chancellor of the UAE University. This signing took place at the recently concluded COP28 in Dubai Export City.

BITS Pilani Sports Festival crowns laurels of victory at its Closing Ceremony

  • 20th edition saw record participation from 29 universities and 5000 students.
  • 24 Schools’ participationtakes center stage adding to theevent’s diversity
  • Renowned Cricketer Chris Gayle presented the awards at BSF Closing Ceremony

Dubai, UAE:Energy, courage, and triumph echoed throughout BITS Pilani Dubai Campus as the 5-day BITS Pilani Sports Festival (BSF) reached its grand conclusion on December 12, 2023. The 20th edition achieved a milestone with participation from 29 universitiesand 5000 students from the UAEsolidifying its status as the premier sports festival in the region. Notably, in this edition theBSF for Schools segment featured 24 schools including those from Oman, India etc.with over 1200 students competing in various events.

  جامعة دبي تنظم مؤتمرا دوليا حول تطوير ادارة الأعمال

نظمت كلية دبي للأعمال في جامعة دبي بمقر الجامعة في المدينة الأكاديمية المؤتمر الدولي السابع حول تطوير الأعمال تحت شعار “الحلول المستدامة للحاضر والمستقبل” بمشاركة أكثر من 50 من العلماء والباحثين من أكثر من 20 دولة عربية وأجنبية.

وقال الدكتور عيسى البستكي رئيس جامعة دبي إن الجامعة تهدف من خلال المؤتمر والذي تزامن مع انعقاد الدورة الثامنة والعشرين من مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ “كوب 28” التي استضافتها دولة الإمارات في مدينة إكسبو دبي الى تسليط الضوء على أهمية البحوث والدراسات ودورها في دعم برامج تطوير الاقتصاد والأعمال في دبي ودولة الامارات ولا سيما في قطاع الادارة وفي مجالات الإبداع والتطوير والذكاء الإصطناعي والاستدامة وتعزيز الابتكار والتميز.

وأكد أهمية الدراسات والبحوث العلمية المعمقة التي تطرح المشاكل وتوفر الحلول التطبيقية في هذه المجالات كافة.

واضاف انه لا مستقبل لأي اقتصاد ان لم يكن مدعوما بدراسات وابحاث علمية معمقة تطرح المشاكل وتاتي بالحلول التطبيقية.

The global technological and educational project joins hands with the British fast food delivery company.

Dubai, UAE, 13 December 2023– Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports, the foremost esports and education initiative, and Deliveroo, the award-winning delivery service, have unveiled a pioneering collaboration agreement. This strategic alliance is designed to elevate both the gaming and educational spheres in the UAE.

Since its launch in the UAE, Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports has had a huge growth in the number of players and teams, participating universities, and organising competitions and events, becoming one of the leading players in the esports field in the region. The project is being developed in 26 countries on 4 continents and is hosted in the region by MENA Tech Entertainment (a company of GGTech Entertainment).
