Abu Dhabi- 29 August 2025:The Abu Dhabi Registration and Licensing Authority (ADRA), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development’s (ADDED) arm to develop and regulate the business sector, has announced the issuance of 5,930 new economic licences to Emirati women entrepreneurs in a year, reaching 21,115 licences by end of June 2025, showcasing the effectiveness of initiatives to empower UAE women to further enhance their role in accelerating economic growth and diversification.

In its 14th edition, the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF), organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau on 10–11 September under the theme “Communication for Quality of Life,” opens a wide-ranging conversation on sustainability and the environment. The sessions will examine how communication can be used to change behaviours, build partnerships that enhance quality of life, and propose practical solutions to today’s urgent environmental challenges.
· Compared with tirzepatide, Wegovy® (semaglutide 2.4 mg) showed a significant 57% greater reduction in the risk of heart attack, stroke or death from any cause, in people with overweight or obesity and cardiovascular disease (CVD) who stayed on treatment1
· Similarly, the study showed a significant 29% reduction in the risk for heart attack, stroke and death from any cause in the Wegovy® users compared with tirzepatide users in all treated people, regardless of any gaps in their treatment1
· This study adds to growing evidence suggesting that the heart-protective benefits seen with Wegovy® are specific to the semaglutide molecule and therefore cannot be extended to other GLP-1 or GIP/GLP-1-based treatments1
