Hitachi Energy invests over 30 million euros to expand transformer operations in Germany

  • The expansion and modernization of the power transformer manufacturing facility in Bad Honnef will generate up to 100 new jobs in the region.

Dubai, February 22, 2024 – Hitachi Energy today announced an investment of more than 30 million euros (approx. $32 million) in the expansion and modernization of its power transformer manufacturing facility in Bad Honnef, Germany. Expected to be completed in 2026, the project will generate up to 100 new jobs in the region and address the rising demand for transformers to support Europe’s clean energy transition.

The Elite Cars reveals Zenvo Aurora for the first time in MENA. The newest model comes in two distinct and purposeful derivatives, the Agil (L) and Tur (R), and will be limited to just 50 pieces of each model.

February 23, 2024, Dubai, UAE – The Elite Cars, the authorized distributor of Danish-brand Zenvo Automotive across the MENA region, launched the Zenvo Aurora on February 21, 2024. Inspired by the majestic Aurora Borealis, the launch event took place under the stars in the UAE at Atlantis The Royal located on Palm Jumeirah. The newest model comes in two distinct and purposeful derivatives, the Agil and Tur, and will be limited to just 50 pieces of each model. Notably, nearly 50% of the highly-anticipated models have already been booked pre-production.

Prominent Philanthropist Firoz Merchant Donates AED 1 million To Free 900+ Prisoners in Ramadan-Inspired Gesture

  • Since 2008, Mr Merchant Has Pledged AED 25 million to release and reunite prisoners with their families in their home country as Part of “The Forgotten Society” Initiative

Philanthropist Firoz Merchant of Pure Gold continues to make prisoner welfare a priority.

Under the aegis of The Forgotten Society initiative founded in 2008, Mr Firoz has already been instrumental in obtaining the release of 900 prisoners from Central Jail across the Emirates since the beginning of 2024, including 495 prisoners from Ajman, 170 prisoners from Fujairah, 121 prisoners from Dubai, 69 prisoners from Umm Al Quwain and 28 from Ras Al Khaimah.

He has donated close to AED 1 million in this pre-Ramadan gesture, a testament to the Holy Month’s accent on humility, humanity, forgiveness, and kindness.
