MUFG EMEA and Doha Bank close first Green Repurchase scheme in Middle East

11th September 2024 – MUFG EMEA and Doha Bank today announce the successful close of their first Green Repo scheme in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This transaction marks the first Green Repo scheme for both institutions that utilises green bonds as the underlying collateral.

Green Repo schemes use the proceeds of green collateral, such as green bonds, to finance further green initiatives. In this case, cash proceeds generated from the repurchase of green bonds issued by the State of Qatar will be committed to the funding and purchase of green assets aligned to Doha Bank’s Sustainable Finance Framework.

وفدالأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي المشارك في ألعاب مالطا الوطنية2024يعود لأرض الوطن

بعد الفوز بـ 15 ميداليةملونة

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 18 سبتمبر 2024:عاد أمسوفد الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي الذي شارك في ألعاب مالطا الوطنية 2024 لأرض الوطن، بعد الفوز  بـ15 ميدالية ملونةفيها. وكان الوفد المكون من 20 لاعبًا من أصحاب الهمم، يمثلونمختلف أندية أصحاب الهمم في الدولة، قد شارك في الألعاب التي عقدت خلال الفترة من 12 إلى 15 سبتمبر 2024في خمس رياضات هي السباحة وكرة الطاولة وألعاب القوى وكرة القدم والبوتشي.

وفاز اللاعبون بثلاث ميداليات (ذهبية وفضية وبرونزية) بالإضافة للمركز الرابع في السباحة. وحل فريق كرة قدم الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي المشارك في المركز الأول محرزًا ذهبية مستحقة، وشهدت ألعاب القوى مشاركة متميزة للاعبي الإمارات حيث نجحوا في تحقيق ذهبيتين وفضيتين وبرونزيتين بالإضافة للمركزين الرابع والسادس على التوالي. ولم يكن أداء لاعبي الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي في كرة الطاولة بأقل روعة حيث استأثروا بميدالية ذهبية، وثلاث ميداليات فضية وبرونزيةواحدة بالإضافة للمركز الخامس. كما حجز الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي لنفسه المركز الرابع في رياضة البوتشي في الألعاب التي شارك فيها 600 لاعب، منهم 100 لاعب دولي من عدد من الدول، منها الإمارات العربية المتحدة، ومقدونيا الشمالية، وقبرص.

Special Olympics UAE Athletes secure 15 medals at Malta Games 2024

  • The Special Olympics UAE team won 5 Gold medals, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze. 
  • Other achievements include 4th place in swimming, bocce and athletics; 5th place in table tennis and 6th place in Athletics.

Abu Dhabi, UAE, September 18, 2024: The Special Olympics UAE delegation arrived in Abu Dhabi today, after securing 5 gold medals, 6 silver and 4 bronze.  The team participated in the Special Olympics National Games Malta 2024, held from September 12 to 15, 2024, where the UAE delegation competed in swimming, table tennis, athletics, football, and bocce.
