The controller offers Panasonic’s first-ever macro functionality to enhance multi-camera operations across broadcast, corporate, and live event productions.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Panasonic announced the upcoming release of its advanced new remote camera controller, the AW-RP200GJ, designed to deliver enhanced operability and workflow efficiency for large-scale, multi-camera productions. The controller, expected to be available from Q1 CY2026, builds on the proven usability of its predecessor, the AW-RP150GJ, while introducing a host of innovative features – including Panasonic’s first-ever macro functionality and a new dual-joystick configuration.

The AW-RP200GJ addresses the increasing need for greater versatility in video production, whether in live broadcasting, corporate communications, education, or major live events. The controller enables more sophisticated techniques such as robotic arm (Supported devices may vary by region) integration and advanced multi-camera coordination, empowering operators to capture premium content with fewer resources.
A key highlight of the AW-RP200GJ is Panasonic’s first macro functionality on a remote camera controller, which allows operators to register and execute a series of complex camera moves or simultaneous multi-camera control with a single button or the automation of preset sequences that allow operators to control other cameras while macros are running, significantly increasing efficiency and consistency.
Alongside its main joystick for intuitive one-handed pan, tilt, zoom, and focus control, the new controller introduces a second joystick on the left side, enabling simultaneous execution of additional tasks such as cropping, menu navigation, or custom functions. This dual-joystick layout gives a single operator flexibility to manage multiple cameras, ensuring smooth and precise results even in demanding production setups.
To further streamline professional workflows, the AW-RP200GJ incorporates 20 multi-select hardware switches, each with its own LCD display, for quick access to functions such as camera selection, preset recall, or macro execution. System setup is simplified through a web-based interface for assigning IP addresses, creating macros, and managing camera configurations in bulk – reducing setup time for large-scale systems.
In addition, the controller supports 3G-SDI and IP video input*(via NDI® High Bandwidth** and SRT), enabling video monitoring directly on its built-in LCD screen or via SDI output. This flexibility enhances both on-site setup and operational monitoring.
The AW-RP200GJ makes its debut at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam (12–15 September 2025), ahead of its availability in the Middle East market. Panasonic remains committed to empowering video creators across the region with advanced tools that combine reliability, innovation, and ease of use – supporting the ever-growing demand for high-quality video production in broadcast, events, and digital media.
