Under the supervision of the Central Bank of the UAE and the UAE Cybersecurity Council, the UAE Banks Federation (the sole representative and unified voice of UAE banks), organised the fourth edition of the “Cyber Wargaming 2025” event. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to develop the banking sector, protect its digital infrastructure, and provide a seamless and secure banking experience for all customers.
The Board of Directors of the UAE Banks Federation (the sole representative and unified voice of UAE banks) held its last regular meeting for 2024 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Abdul Aziz Al-Ghurair, Chairman of UAE Banks Federation, to discuss the latest developments in the banking and financial sectors locally and globally throughout the current year, as well as to study the general lines of the Federation’s strategy for the coming year (2025).
UAE Banks Federation (UBF), the sole representative and unified voice of UAE banks, held its Annual General Meeting recently, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Abdulaziz Al-Ghurair, Chairman of UAE Banks Federation, and in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Federation and representatives of member banks.
UAE Banks Federation organises awareness seminar on corporate tax

UAE Banks Federation, the solerepresentative and unified voice of UAE banks, organised an awareness seminar on corporate tax in the UAE as part of its efforts to continuously promote the exchange of views and experiences in order to develop the banking sector and strengthen the UAE’s position as a leading financial and banking centre.
The awareness seminar was attended by the CEOs of member banks, a number of officials and experts working in the banking and financial sector, where important matters of the banking and financial sector were addressed as the corporate tax comes to enforcementthis year.
The seminar covered various topics such as the tax rate for international and large multinational companies, procedures for filing audited tax returns in consolidated financial statements, and conversion of foreign currencies into the UAE dirham according to the rates issued by Central Bank of the UAE, procedures for price transfers and the corporate tax rate for foreign bank branches operating in the UAE. The seminar also explained Zakat in the country’s corporate tax system.
UAE Banks Federation CEOs Consultative Council confirms sector’s ability to continue to grow

During its second meeting of 2023, the CEOs Consultative Council of UAE Banks Federation, the sole representative and unified voice of UAE banks, chaired by H.E. Mohamed Omran Al Shamsi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of UAE Banks Federation and Chairman of RAK Bank, discussed developments in the banking and financial sector, and the progress made by the Federation in achieving the strategy and plans for the current year.
