كبير الباحثين في جامعة لشبونة يروي حكاية قرنين من الوجود البرتغالي في الخليج

تناول خورخي فلوريس، كبير الباحثين في المركز المشترك بين الجامعات لتاريخ العلوم والتكنولوجيا، في جامعة لشبونة التجربة البرتغاليّة في منطقة الخليج بين القرنين السادس عشر والسابع عشر، وذلك خلال جلسة عُقدت في اليوم الثالث من فعاليات الدورة 42 من معرض الشارقة الدولي للكتاب.

واستعرض فلوريس خلال الجلسة التي جاءت تحت عنوان “الإبحار في الخليج في القرن السادس عشر: التجربة البرتغاليّة”؛ عدداً من المحاور، كالرحلة من غوا في الهند إلى منطقة الخليج العربي والعودة بين العامين 1520 – 1521، والحملة العسكرية إلى القطيف في العام 1551، إلى جانب الحديث عن ضحايا محاكم التفتيش البرتغالية في المنطقة في ستينيات القرن السادس عشر.
