100 Emirati women empowered to excel in Artificial Intelligence
June 17,2025: Dubai, UAE: Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has hosted the graduation of the NOMU Al Ghurair Women in AI program, in collaboration with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) and the pioneering educational institution, ZAKA. The event recognised the achievements of 70 Emirati & Arab women who successfully completed the 20-week AI Certification program with ZAKA, which was established to increase the skills capacity in artificial intelligence and machine learning in the UAE.

Study aids the detection of riskware to help reduce cyberattacks
A research project led by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has provided critical insights into Android’s malware ecosystem, to help boost security and protect users from cyberattacks.
The project is expected to help improve the detection and prevention of cyber threats and raise awareness among users on how they can better safeguard their devices.

New graduate program to prepare next generation of technology leaders

The new graduate degree is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to transition from management to leadership in the context of rapid technological advances in the workplace.

Accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education, the program focuses on tech innovations and their impact on leadership. It will enable participants to develop the mindset to foresee emerging trends and build responsive strategies that create new business opportunities. The new degree addresses an emerging market need for leaders who have the capacity to establish a working environment that encourages innovation and empowers teams to embrace a technology-driven future.

The Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Innovation is unique in its combination of the two disciplines ,which are traditionally taught as separate degree programs. Through practice-based learning, the course supports students to develop critical business skills, such as negotiation and ethical decision making, while unlocking their creative talent through lessons in design thinking and leading innovation. Participants can also explore entrepreneurship and business start-up as part of the curriculum.

March 06,2024 : Dubai, UAE: Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has partnered with Dubai Government’s labour welfare initiative, Taqdeer, to unite the local community in a day of sports and entertainment at the first-of-its-kind campus Spring Fest. The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Chairman of Dubai’s Permanent Committee of Labour Affairs and Chairman of the Taqdeer Award.
Featuring corporate games, family fun zones, and an exhibition of rare and luxury cars, the Spring Fest took place across the University’s 129,000 square meters state-of-the-art campus in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The event brought together over 500 participants, including representatives of corporate partners, the labourer community, university staff and students, as well as members of the general public.
