RIT Dubai launches Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations

New degree program blends communication and technology to meet future industry needs

16 February 2026, Dubai, UAE: Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has announced the launch of a new Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations, to prepare students for leadership roles in the transforming sector. Accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education, the program combines strategic communications with data-led decision making to equip graduates with the creative and technical skills to deliver effective campaigns that engage audiences through targeted messaging and compelling storytelling.

Reflecting RIT Dubai’s longstanding reputation as a leader in technology education, the new Bachelor of Science program responds to the evolution of advertising and public relations as disciplines that are now grounded in research and analytics, as well as creativity. As digital platforms, smart technologies, and artificial intelligence continue to transform how audiences are reached and influenced, the program teaches students how to understand human behavior through data-informed research and to design strategic messaging for both traditional and digital channels.

RIT Dubai hosted graduation of NOMU Al Ghurair Women in AI program

100 Emirati women empowered to excel in Artificial Intelligence

June 17,2025: Dubai, UAE: Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has hosted the graduation of the NOMU Al Ghurair Women in AI program, in collaboration with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) and the pioneering educational institution, ZAKA. The event recognised the achievements of 70 Emirati & Arab women who successfully completed the 20-week AI Certification program with ZAKA, which was established to increase the skills capacity in artificial intelligence and machine learning in the UAE.

Study aids the detection of riskware to help reduce cyberattacks

A research project led by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai has provided critical insights into Android’s malware ecosystem, to help boost security and protect users from cyberattacks.

The project is expected to help improve the detection and prevention of cyber threats and raise awareness among users on how they can better safeguard their devices.

RIT Dubai and W Motors forge partnership to drive innovation in mobility

University and homegrown mobility solutions provider join forces to advance education, training and R&D

February 06,2025: Dubai, UAE: Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai and W Motors have established a partnership to promote innovation in the mobility sector, through joint initiatives in education, professional training and research and development. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the university and the region’s first manufacturer of high-performance luxury vehicles and mobility solutions provider has been established to align with the UAE’s vision to foster collaboration between academia and the private sector.

Researcher from RIT Dubai sets out new framework for academic integrity in the era of AI

Study proposes eight strategies to enhance ethical learning practices

January 09,2025: Dubai, UAE: An academic from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) of Dubai is among a team of researchers that has proposed a new framework to promote academic integrity in the era of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). Associate Professor and Chair of Business and Management, Dr. Panagiotis Kokkalis, was one of ten scholars who contributed to the study, which outlines eight strategic measures to support ethical learning within higher education.
