PHRMAG Champions Strategic Dialogue on Future of Biotech, Life Sciences, and Health Intelligence at World Health Expo 2026

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 19, February 2026: The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association of the Gulf (PHRMAG), the region’s leading innovative biopharmaceutical research companies, reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for regional healthcare transformation at the World Health Expo (WHX in Dubai). During the event, PHRMAG’s delegation participated in two high-level panel discussions highlighting the Gulf’s growing prominence as a hub for life sciences innovation and biotech investment.

PHRMAG’s Chairman Sameh El Fangary participated in a strategic leadership dialogue titled “The New Era of Health Systems Leadership: Rewriting the Blueprint” which convened senior government leaders, and global CEOs to examine the policy shifts and governance models shaping the next generation of intelligence-driven health systems.

NYU Abu Dhabi and PHRMAG partner to foster homegrown innovation and STEM talent in the UAE

Through its partnership with NYU      Abu Dhabi’s Grad Slam, PHRMAG reinforces its commitment to upscale homegrown innovation in life sciences across the Gulf.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 20 November 2025: New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) has announced a partnership with the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers Association Gulf (PHRMAG), which joins as the Lead Sponsor of the GradSlam — NYUAD’s flagship research communication competition — supported by AmCham Abu Dhabi. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to fostering future engagement, regional collaboration in life sciences research, and talent development in the UAE and across the Gulf.

The NYUAD GradSlam is an annual competition where graduate students condense years of research into compelling three-minute presentations tailored for a broad audience. Over the years, the competition has highlighted breakthrough ideas in biomedical sciences, biotechnology, engineering solutions, and AI-powered technologies, reinforcing its role as a launchpad for the region’s next generation of leaders in the life sciences ecosystem.
