OQ COMMISSIONS THE LADAYN POLYMER PROGRAMME AT SUHAR INDUSTRIAL CITY WITH NINE MANUFACTURING PLANTS AND OMR 40 MILLION IN INVESTMENTS

Suhar, 17 December 2025 – OQ, Oman’s global integrated energy group, has commissioned the Ladayn Polymer Programme at Suhar Industrial City during an official ceremony held today under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones. The inauguration marks the transition of nine manufacturing plants into commercial operations, representing a defining milestone in Oman’s downstream industrial development and reinforcing Suhar’s position as a rapidly emerging national manufacturing platform aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

OQ ACCELERATES NATIONAL DOWNSTREAM GROWTH WITH 11 NEW LADAYN AGREEMENTS AND OVEROMR 27 MILLION IN INVESTMENTS

Bahrain, December 2025 –Anchoring Oman’s position as a rising industrial hub within the region’s polymer value chainsand underscoring its rise as a regional downstream manufacturing base,OQ, Oman’s global investment group,has signed 11 new investment agreements under the Ladayn Polymer Park programme (“Ladayn”), backed by more than OMR 27 millionin committed investments, bringing the programme’s total investment to OMR 85 million. Signed on the sidelines of the 19thAnnual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Forum in Bahrain, with a diverse set oflocal, regional and international polymer manufacturers, the agreements cement the commercial ecosystem that converts locally produced polymers into higher-value products.

This milestone expandsLadayn’s portfolio, reinforces the country’s downstream industrial capabilitiesand signalsrising regional confidence in Oman’s emerging role as a reliable, cost-competitive hub for downstream polymer manufacturing.

OQ AND SOMO SIGN TWO MEMORANDA OF COOPERATION IN A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO STRENGTHEN ENERGY COLLABORATION BETWEEN OMAN AND IRAQ

  • The first involves storing 10 million barrels of Iraqi oil in Ras Markaz in Duqm.
  • The second focuses on marketing Iraqi oil in global markets through OQ Trading.

Muscat, 08 September 2025 – In a milestone for bilateral energy co-operation, OQ, Oman’s global energy investment group, has signed two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) through its subsidiaries — the Oman Tank Terminal Company (OTTCO) and OQ Trading — with Iraq’s State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO), the federal oil marketing arm of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
