RTE and the Chantiers de l’Atlantique – Hitachi Energy consortium sign a €4.5 billion contract for the construction of three offshore direct current platforms and three onshore converter stations for the Normandy (Centre Manche 1 & 2) and Oléron Island offshore wind farms  

Thursday May 2, 2024, in the presence of Bruno le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty and Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate in charge of Industry and Energy, Xavier Piechaczyk, Chairman of the Management Board of RTE, Laurent Castaing, Managing Director of Chantiers de l’Atlantique and Niklas Persson, Managing Director of Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration business, have reached a historic agreement for the construction of the first offshore direct current platforms and onshore converter stations for the Normandy (Centre Manche 1 & 2) and Oléron Island offshore wind farms.  

Hitachi Energy announces over $100 million in modernization and upgrade of power transformer factory and facilities in Quebec, Canada

• Projects in Varennes and Montreal partly funded by the Government of Quebec to increase speed to market to meet accelerating global energy transition demand

• Establishment of a state-of-the-art testing facility for large power transformers, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and an engineering and design center will create around 70 jobs, to enable capacity expansion

Hitachi Energy to invest additional $1.5 billion to ramp up global transformer production by 2027

• Capacity expansion will increase speed to market to meet accelerating global demand, address long-term customer investments and create over 4,000 jobs.

• Investments spans across Europe, the Americas, and Asia leveraging existing global footprint.

• Around $180 million in a new state-of-the-art transformer factory in Finland, a key location for clean technology development for renewables and industrial electrification.

دبي، 27 فبراير 2024: أطلقت “هيتاشي إنرجي”، شركة التكنولوجيا العالمية التي تتخذ من دبي مقراً إقليمياً لها، جهاز التوجيه اللاسلكي الهجين TRO670، أحدث إضافة إلى سلسلة TRO600 من أجهزة الاتصالات اللا سلكية الصناعية ذات الانتاجية العالية والكمون المنخفض لدعم مجموعة من تطبيقات الشبكات الذكية وانترنت الأشياء الصناعي.

ويدمج TRO670 بين التقنيات اللا سلكية المتعددة ومزايا الاتصال عبر الألياف الضوئية في جهاز توجيه واحد متين، بما يضمن اتصالات لا سلكية آمنة وموثوقة ومرنة حتى في البيئات القاسية والنائية. وإضافة لذلك، يتوافق الجهاز الجديد مع الإصدارات السابقة عبر كامل خط منتجات “هيتاشي إنرجي” اللا سلكية بما يضمن للمؤسسات إمكانية توسيع شبكة الاتصالات الخاصة بها دون الحاجة لاستبدال البنية التحتية الحالية.

Hitachi Energy invests over 30 million euros to expand transformer operations in Germany

• The expansion and modernization of the power transformer manufacturing facility in Bad Honnef will generate up to 100 new jobs in the region.

Dubai, February 22, 2024 – Hitachi Energy today announced an investment of more than 30 million euros (approx. $32 million) in the expansion and modernization of its power transformer manufacturing facility in Bad Honnef, Germany. Expected to be completed in 2026, the project will generate up to 100 new jobs in the region and address the rising demand for transformers to support Europe’s clean energy transition.
