New agreement to promote academic exchange and cultural collaboration
June 24,2024 : Dubai, UAE:Â Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNFC) to promote international cooperation through academic exchange and cultural collaboration. The agreement marks the first overseas partnership for UNFC, which is a newly established higher education institution in the Canadian province of Ontario.

Release date, Dubai, UAE: A team of students from Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has won AED 10,000 in the form of an incubation grant for an innovation that aims to protect public toilet users from harmful bacteria. The award was sponsored by Bin Owais Holdings and presented to the winning team as part of the university’s annual flagship ‘CUD Innovation Showcase’ initiative.
The event served as a platform for students to demonstrate their ground-breaking ideas, engage in insightful discussions, and network with industry leaders. With a focus on fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration, the CUD Innovation Showcase aimed to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators.

Developed by second-year students, Ramisha Ahmareen Zaman and Fatma Ahmad Alattar, the Rent-a-Parking platform was awarded the first prize of AED 5,000 at the Entrepreneurship Showcase, staged as part of the recent Brand Me Summit. Held at the university’s City Walk campus, the ground-breaking CUD student-led event showcased the power of personal branding, featuring a line-up of distinguished speakers, entrepreneurs and public figures.
CIM Accredited Degree statusprovidesaccelerated route to professional qualifications
February 26,2024 , Dubai, UAE: Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has received accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, earning the prestigious CIM Accredited Degree status for its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing. The recognition will provide students of the BBA in Marketing program with the opportunity to gain industry-recognized qualifications at an accelerated pace. The CIM UK accreditation is also recognized by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI).

Awarded following a comprehensive mapping process, the CIM Accredited Degree status demonstrates that CUD’s BBA in Marketing meets the Institute’s learning outcomes ,ensuring course content is aligned with industry requirements. Mapped against the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing (Level 4) and Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6), the BBA in Marketing offers exemptions based on Accredited Prior Learning (APL), reducing the number of assessments students must take to gain a CIM qualification.
