Al Seer Marine Expands Fleet with Delivery of two new MR Tankers: M.T. Betelgeuse and M.T. Bellatrix

  • M.T. Betelgeuse and M.T. Bellatrix are IMO II/III oil and chemical tankers, designed to carry six fully segregated grades of cargo, with a deadweight of 49,757 MT each.
  • The six state-of-the-art MR tankers are built ready for alternative fuels such as Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), ammonia, and methanol.

Abu Dhabi, September 26, 2024: Al Seer Marine (ADX: ASM), a frontrunner in various maritime industries and a subsidiary of International Holding Company (ADX: IHC), has recently taken delivery of M.T. Betelgeuse and M.T. Bellatrix, the first two in a series of six New Building MR tankers from K Shipbuilding Korea. These new additions are intended to meet the rapidly growing demand for the transportation of clean petroleum products (CPP) and chemicals.

Al Seer Marine Expands Leadership Team with the appointment of Gunther Alvarado as Deputy CEO

Abu Dhabi, June 20, 2024: Al Seer Marine (ADX: ASM), a global maritime organization headquartered in Abu Dhabi and a subsidiary of International Holding Company (ADX: IHC), announced the appointment of Gunther Alvarado as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, as part of its ongoing commitment to excellence in the maritime industry.

Gunther Alvarado has over 20 years of maritime industry experience and has been a member of Al Seer Marine since 2013, during which time he has held various roles including Head of Yacht Management & Marine Operations before being promoted to COO in 2021. In his new role, Gunther Alvarado will work closely with CEO Guy Neivens to provide valuable guidance, oversee strategic initiatives, and ensure that the company maximises the potential of its assets, which currently exceed AED9.1 billion, to remain at the forefront of the maritime industry.
