from 108 nations with the theme ‘We Speak Books’

With its its largest-ever country participation, SIBF’s 42nd annual edition will host 1,700 events and South Korea as Guest of Honour

  • SIBF 2023 will run from November 1-12 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
  • 1.5 million titles including 800,000 in Arabic and 700,000 in other languages under one roof.
  • 11 new countries will make their SIBF debut this year.
  • 460 cultural activities to include 127 guests from 33 countries.
  • SIBF’s Thriller Festival returns for a 2nd edition with 10 authors who will take the audience into the worlds of mystery and crime.
  • Renowned chefs will lead 45 activities at the Cookery Corner.
  • 41 international speakers will lead 31 roundtables at the Publishers Conference.
  • 120 Arab and African publishers to be trained during Publisher’s Training co-hosted with NYU.
  • 400 experts from 30 countries will attend Sharjah International Library Conference.
  • Accessible Books Consortium (ABC) will announce winners of their prestigious awards for accessible publishing at the SIBF Publishers Conference.
