Union Coop has secured first place in the second edition of the “Nafis” Award 2023-2024 for Small-Sized Entities in the Trade and Repair Services. The award announced at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi, was given by the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council in recognition of Union Coop’s efforts in achieving Emiratization targets, enhancing the competitiveness of Emirati talents, and supporting the national economy.

Dubai, May 2024 – Trusity’s truPreneurs programme, an innovative initiative aimed at nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among young minds, has successfully concluded its latest edition, equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in the dynamic world of business. The winners of the ‘Best Startup Pitch Award’ for this edition were Harsimar Kaur Chhatwal and Dhwani Mehta (Raffles World Academy) for their project Teenedge and Gauri Nanda Salu (Indian High School) for her project HealthSync. They were awarded with AED 10,000 as startup funding package per project, along with mentorship and guidance for product design and development.

Dubai, Monday 29 April, 2024: Bookmypet, a pioneering pet booking platform in the UAE has successfully closed its pre-seed and seed funding rounds, propelling the company into its next phase of growth and innovation with a cash injection of over US $1million. 

 
Led by Founder and CEO Amer Aqqad, the pre-seed funding rounds included participation from a select group of strategic investors who are part of UAE company Access Bridge Ventures. The funding process itself saw homegrown startup Bookmypet pitch their brand and expansion plans to interested investors who share their vision of providing a convenient and reliable digital platform for pet owners.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and the Local Self-Government of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, spearheading economic development in Lublin, Poland, have joined forces to foster robust economic ties and facilitate bilateral cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed during a visit bysenior delegation from Abu Dhabi to Poland, signed between both partieswill bolster economic activities between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Poland, with a particular focus on the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Lubelskie Voivodeship. By leveraging their respective strengths and resources, both parties are committed to nurturing a conducive environment for entrepreneurship, trade expansion, and investment facilitation.
