Najibullah Zadran makes headlines after Nys Lagos collect 33 runs in one over in Zim Afro T10 2024

Harare, 25 September, 2024: Nys Lagos’ Najibullah Zadran made headlines during the Zim Afro T10 2024 match against Durban Wolves after the side collected 33 runs in Donald Tiripano’s one over at Harare Sports Club. The Afghan batter started off the 6th over of the innings with three maximums on the trot followed by a couple and another six on the next two deliveries respectively. Tiripano then bowled three consecutive wides and was hit for a boundary on the last ball.

Talking about his knock, Zadran said that he had already made up his mind to take on the pacer and push the paddle in that particular over.

Harare, 24th September, 2024: While all eyes were on David Warner on Day 4 of the second season of the Zim Afro T10, it was the likes of Najibullah Zadran, Dasun Shanaka, Shehan Jayasuriya and Sikandar Raza, who stole the show at the Harare Sports Club. The NYS Lagos, Harare Bolts and Jo’Burg Bangla Tigers registered comprehensive wins on the day with the Bolts leading the points table.

Match 1 – Harare Bolts Defeated Jo’Burg Bangla Tigers by 4 Wickets in Close Contest 

Match 2 – Bulawayo Brave Jaguars won by 4 wickets against the Durban Wolves 

Match 3 – Cape Town Samp Army Post Record Total, Defeat NYS Lagos by 22 Runs 

Harare, 23rd September, 2024: It was a night of plenty of entertainment as the Cape Town Samp Army side created history by posting the highest total ever in the Zim Afro T10 when they crossed the 150-run mark against the NYS Lagos, and eventually registered a comfortable win. Meanwhile, in the other two games, the Harare Bolts and the Bulawayo Brave Jaguars also put in fine all-round performances to pick up important wins.
