~ With eight pre-signings finalised in advance, franchises had the opportunity to add between seven and ten players during the draft to form their complete squads ~

July 5, 2025: It was a landmark day for cricket in the USA as the teams assembled an exciting mix of international stars and emerging talents during the draft for the inaugural Super60 USA Tournament, held on Friday with prominent names like Martin Guptill, Wayne Parnell, Varun Aaron and Lendl Simmons making the headlines.

Teams had already locked in eight players as part of their pre-signings. In the draft, they were allowed to choose between seven to 10 more players.

Sports Extravaganza: 700 Student-athletes, 40 teams, from schools across the UAE compete in Ajman.

Ajman, UAE – The Royal Academy Ajman has once again proven itself as a premier educational institution in the region, hosting the CBSE UAE Cluster Handball Tournament 2025, the largest and most prestigious of its kind in Ajman. The three-day tournament, which concluded on 22nd June, saw an unprecedented 700 Student-athletes, 40 teams, from schools across the UAE converge on the Royal Academy campus, setting a new record for participation in a CBSE Cluster tournament held in Ajman.

  • تستضيف منطقة العين المسابقة خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 28 أغسطس 2025.

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 25 يونيو 2025: ينظم الأولمبياد الخاص الإماراتي والأولمبياد الخاص الدولي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا مسابقة الفروسية الإقليمية للأولمبياد الخاص للشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا ، خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 28 أغسطس 2025 في منطقة العين. يشارك في المسابقة والتي تنظم لأول مرة نخبة من اللاعبين من ذوي التحديات الفكرية والنمائية من عدة دول عربية من بينها الكويت، عُمان، السعودية، الأردن، مصر، والمغرب، والعراق، وتونس، والبحرين، بينما ستشارك لبيبا في التدريبات التي ستسبق المسابقة.

Al Ain to Host the Special Olympics MENA Regional Equestrian Competition in August 2025

  • The competition is organized by Special Olympics UAE and Special Olympics MENA, with the participation of 10 countries from across the region.
  • The competition will take place in Al Ain from 24 to 28 August 2025.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – June 25, 2025: Special Olympics UAE, in collaboration with Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa (MENA), will organize the Special Olympics MENA Regional Equestrian Competition in Al Ain from August 24 to 28, 2025. This inaugural event will bring together equestrian athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities from 10 countries across the region, including from Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Oman and the UAE, while Libya will participate in the training preceding the competition.

Announced today during a press conference at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, the competition will feature multiple equestrian disciplines, including classical equitation, endurance riding, and horse handling, with inclusive divisions tailored to the athletes’ abilities. The formats are designed to highlight each athlete’s unique skills in a safe and welcoming environment.
