The Winchester School to take on GEMS Modern in ILT20 Schools Cup Final

Dubai, 14 December 2023:The Winchester School will battle it out with GEMS Modern for the top honours in the ILT20 Schools Cup Final to be played on Sunday, 14 January. Six teams made the Final round after winning in their respective pools in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah where 36 schools competed in the first round.

Dubai, 12 January 2024: Taking the cricket fever up a notch, the DP World International League T20 will give away luxury cars through a computer-generated draw process to three lucky fans who purchase tickets and attend the Season 2 matches which begin on Friday, 19 January. The opening day will see defending champions Gulf Giants take on home side Sharjah Warriors at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

So, how does this work? Just buy a ticket from https://tickets.ilt20.ae or at any of the 14 Virgin Megastore outlets across the UAE and then come watch your favourite players including Australia’s World Cup hero David Warner, Andre Russell, David Willey, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Alex Hales, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, Trent Boult, Nicholas Pooran, Chris Woakes and Maheesh Theekshana play.

Aim is to retain ILT20 Trophy for Adani Sportsline-owned Gulf Giants, says young star all-rounder Aayan Khan

Abu Dhabi, 09 January 2023:One of the players to watch out for in the upcoming International League T20 is young bowling all-rounder Aayan Khan, who will turn out for the Adani Sportsline-owned Gulf Giants for a second season running. Aayan, who made history in the T20 World Cup 2022 by becoming the youngest player to play at the tournament at the age of just 16, was also a part of the Gulf Giants team that won the trophy the first time around. The youngster is ready to help the Adani Sportsline-owned side retain the ILT20 Trophy.

“It feels great to be playing for the Gulf Giants in the second season of the ILT20, especially after winning the first season of the tournament. Having already won the trophy, retaining it is the main objective for season 2 of the mega cricket extravaganza. This team plays like a family. Hence, the first season was a remarkable one. We enjoyed every moment,” he told the media in an interaction.

Dubai Sports Channel Confirmed as Host Broadcaster

Dubai (UAE): Millions of viewers across the globe will be able to watch live when the 2024 Dubai Marathon gets underway on Sunday (January 7).

Organised under the auspices of the Dubai Sports Council and with Dubai Sports Channel confirmed as the official broadcaster of the event, TV stations and online platforms have been signing up to take live coverage of the first international marathon of the new year.
