Record breaker!

25,000 people line the streets of UAE capital for fifth edition of ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon as Brigid Kosgei sets new women’s record

  • Five-time major Marathon champion Brigid Kosgei won the women’s category with a time of 2:19:15, knocking a minute off the course record
  • Amare Hailemicael Samson won the men’s category with a time of 2:07:10

UAE, Abu Dhabi, December 16, 2023: It was a day to remember for Brigid Kosgei as she marked her first appearance at the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon by setting a new women’s record as more than 25,000 participants from 168 different nationalities took to the streets of the UAE capital.

  • Aayan has led the UAE team into the semi-finals of the ongoing U19 Asia Cup against Pakistan
  • He made his debut for UAE in both T20s and ODIs in 2022 and found a place in the Gulf Giants squad for the inaugural edition of the DP World ILT20

Dubai, 13 December 2023:Making rapid strides in international cricket is UAE’s U-19 skipper Aayan Afzal Khan, who has led his team into the semi-finals of the prestigious ACC U19 Men’s Asia Cup 2023. The team will now face-off against Pakistan in an attempt of making it to the tournament final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

فريق الإمارات القابضة (ADQ) يبدأ معسكره لنهاية العام في إسبانيا

• يجمع المعسكر التدريبي المكثف بين لاعبات فريق الإمارات القابضة ADQالمحترفات، والفريق القاري الإماراتي، وعضوات برنامج المواهب الإماراتية

أبوظبي – الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 14 ديسمبر 2023: أعلن فريق الإمارات القابضة (ADQ) للدراجات الهوائية، فريق السيدات المحترف الأول في الدولة، عن بدء معسكره التدريبي الموسع لنهاية العام في أليكانتي بإسبانيا، إيذانا ببدء استعداداته لموسم 2024. ويجمع المعسكر بين لاعبات الفريق المحترفات، ولاعبات الفريق القاري الإماراتي، وعضوات برنامج المواهب الإماراتية.

أنشطة تدريبية متنوعة

تقام المرحلة الأولى من المعسكر في الفترة من 9 إلى 20 ديسمبر الجاري، وتتضمن أنشطة وتدريبات متنوعة، تجمع ما بين ركوب الدراجات بالأماكن الداخلية والخارجية، وجلسات التأمل، ودورات التدريب الجماعية والفردية، وأحدث التوجيهات الخاصة بإعدادات الدراجة، والتقييمات الطبية وقياسات اللياقة البدنية.

UAE Team ADQ Initiates the End-of-Year Training Camp in Spain

Abu Dhabi – UAE, 14th December 2023, UAE Team ADQ announced the start of its extensive end-of-year training camp in Spain, signaling the commencement of preparations for the 2024 season. The camp brings together the team’s riders, the UAE Development Team, and the Emirati Talent Program members.

The initial leg of the camp, held from December 9 to 20, features team-building activities, a combination of indoor and outdoor cycling, meditation, team and individual training sessions, the latest advice on bike configurations, and medical and fitness assessments.
