RAK Diabetes Challenge 2025 Encourages Natural Diabetes Reversal; Top Winners to Receive AED 20,000 in Prizes

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – August 22, 2025 – One of the UAE’s most impactful public health movements is back. RAK Hospital, in collaboration with Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) – Ras Al Khaimah, proudly announces the 4th edition of the RAK Diabetes Challenge (RAKDC 2025)— a nationwide wellness campaign designed to combat the alarming diabetes epidemic through lifestyle transformation, education, and community support.

Having transformed thousands of lives over the past three editions by reducing key diabetes biomarkers — HbA1c and BMI — this three-month campaign aims to be a guiding light for lifestyle change. In ATTAIN-1, the investigational once-daily oral pill showed significant efficacy, and a safety and tolerability profile consistent with injectable GLP-1 therapies at 72 weeks

Orforglipron achieved the primary and all key secondary endpoints, including demonstrating improvements in a number of cardiovascular risk factors

With these results, Lilly is on track to submit orforglipron to global regulatory agencies by year-end and is making substantial investments to meet anticipated demand at launch
