Cancer Run, presented by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, set to kick off on February 4 to mark World Cancer Day

  • Held at Al Maryah Island, the community run is dedicated to cancer awareness

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. January 31, 2024: Cancer Run, presented by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of the M42 network, will take place at Al Maryah Island, from 6-10 a.m. on February 4, 2024. With the event being open to the community, participants of different ages are encouraged to join the cause and run in support of families and friends. The annual event aims to raise awareness about various types of cancer risk, and highlight the importance of healthy lifestyle choices for cancer prevention and management.

Contestants will have the option to participate in three run categories, encompassing distances of 1-3 km, 5km, and 10km. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the 5km and 10km runs. The first place winner in the 5km run will receive AED 2,000, the second place winner will receive AED 1,500, and the third place winner will receive AED 1,000. Similarly, the top three finishers in the 10km run will be awarded AED 3,000, AED 2,000, and AED 1,000, respectively.

31 January 2024; Ras Al Khaimah, UAE– Arabian Healthcare Group (AHG), the leading healthcare provider in the region with RAK Hospital as its flagship brand, in collaboration with CommonSpirit Health, one of the largest hospital systems in the United States, is proud to announce a significant expansion of its services in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) through the establishment of new community clinics. The initiative is part of AHG’s commitment to serving the entire RAK market across all insurance categories through a comprehensive hub and spoke model.

The overarching goal is to ensure that as mandatory insurance is progressively implemented for local citizens in the Northern Emirates, a trend already underway for expatriates, all new expats and those renewing visas will be required to obtain private insurance. The government is actively advocating for expatriates to utilize private healthcare services.
